Description

It's been a while since my first build (You can check it out here: https://pcpartpicker.com/b/y8TBD3) and a lot changed.

In february, I bought the i5 4670 and ASRock MB for my birthday money, I gave away my old Phenom to my cousin. Around month later, I bought the SeaSonic PSU and I love it. It's quiet, it's fully modular and it handles everything easily.

In april, my Seagate HDD died after all of these 3 years, and I tried to revive it, but it's pointless.

Yesterday (06.05.2017) I went to the store and bought the case (SilentiumPC Regnum RG1) and it's not bad case. It has PSU shroud, the cable management is okay, but it's a fingerprint magnet and can bend in some places (bent it a little on the front while installing the fan).

I have a RX 570 in plans, but currently I'm out of money.

Part Reviews

CPU Cooler

Although it catches dust easily, it keeps the CPU cool.

Motherboard

Got it very cheap. It has trouble to boot with pendrive connected for some reason, but it works.

Memory

Welp, RAM is RAM. Still runs greatly, but I'm not sure why, the first module runs at 1866MHz, while the second one runs at 1600.

Storage

7 seconds and I'm on the desktop. While it has little space, it's just enough for me. Might be a bit slow, but runs fine.

Video Card

Not a bad card, although it ignores custom fan curves and the OC settings. Pretty quiet actually, usually runs at 1350RPM.

Power Supply

The cheapest 600W+ fully modular PSU in my country. No complaints.

Operating System

Had so much trouble with it to boot when my HDD died, but it works okay.

Why are you planning to upgrade to a 570? The R9 270x is a very capable GPU.

Is it slowing down?

It ignores my custom fan curve and overclocking. Also for some reason one fan never works. Also the RX 570 is around 75% better.

Well, I was wrong.I thought the 270x was 20% worse. Good luck man, and may your FPS be high and temps low.

You might have been thinking of the R9 290X, which would be in that neighborhood

Sounds like a nice upgrade, seems like the card might be starting to crap out

I think that you're right, I was thinking of the 290x. I confuse each and every GPU in the R9 270 - R9 295x2 range... (And even I know that the 295x2 was a huge overcompensation!) But sadly, AMD has confusing GPU naming schemes.)

I think the 470 is actually a better deal. You can find them for as low as $120 new on amazon and the cheapest i have seen the 570 is $180. In my opinion it is not worth it for an extra 4fps.
