Description

This build has been in flux for a while. I really need to stop buying and exchanging parts... I think it is an addiction.

So far, this computer is able to play any game at 1440p with, ultra settings.

I mostly play Battlefront, Witcher 3, GTA V, and Doom.

I settled on the Founder's Edition version of the 1080, simply because there were in stock at Best Buy. They actually had a ton of them in stock.

Great build and a great setup bud. Very well planned and very clean execution. It looks fantastic. People say it's overplayed but I love the red and black themed PCs. If i can make one recommendation (nothing major but I think it looks fantastic) is remove the green from the GEFORCE GTX logo. It looks amazing in white.

Aside from that. It looks great bro. Definitely a +1. Feel free to check out my rig. It's constantly changing so any feed back is appreciated.

Hmm... Yeah. I always forget about that part. Lol. Still. You have to admit. It looks cool.

I don't mind voiding a warranty - thanks for the tip!

It looks amazing with the white IMO. Plus, while you have it apart it gives you the option of custom paint if you want to.

It does definitely look cool. I would be so afraid to mess something up in there though!

Its not hard to do but as you said, if you are unwilling to void warranty then its not for you. If you do decide to try it, just make sure you don't go too heavy with the sandpaper/dremel. Risk vs Reward bud. Sick look with no warranty or Still a sick look but in green with a warranty. Lol.

Wow nice rig! I particularly like the pic of the underside of your 1080 lit through the back brackets. :)

Really nice rig. Great work. I'm working on building a similar setup. How well does the red on the Corsair Vengeance match the red accents on the mobo? I know sometimes reds are hard to match.

The red on the RAM is definitely a brighter and lighter red than the motherboard. Close up you can tell, but from a distance they match pretty well.

Great Build! It looks nice and clean! I would probably route the gpu cable from the right side rather then from the bottom hole because it would look cleaner.

Hey nice build! I was was wondering why you chose the evolv over the tg edition?

  • 1 point

Well I've had it for a while. Also, I'm not huge on having my mess of cables showing all the time lol

Also how is the monitor? Would your recommend it over the pg278q

  • 1 point

I love it! It's really the only monitor that checked all the boxes for me. IPS, G-sync, 120Hz or more, and so on. I may eventually go 4k, but this one looks insanely good.

I would definitely recommend it over the PG278q. That monitor is still amazing, however you can't beat IPS. I have no input lag or any lag for that matter.

Did you end up having to purchase any extensions for any of the cables that didn't reach? Not looking for any extreme details, just curious.

Yeah a few for the fans. I originally had and ssd in the front of the case I had to buy a long sata cable for. I have since moved it to the back.

Just wondering what are your thoughts on the MOBO?

No complaints. It was really popular and had good reviews. That's why I went ahead and picked it up. Also looks really cool. The Asus software that comes with it it meh

Very nice build. How do you like your SS Rival 300? I've been thinking about getting it? Is it worth it?

  • 1 point

I really like it. I had the Sensei Raw before. It is what made me realize how much I like Steel series products. Definitely worth it to get the 300. However, I have found that the steelseries software is a little bit buggy when changing the color configs and such.

you know, you could put the ssds in that empty area at the front of the case with double sided tape, i believe it would look better than it does now

  • 1 point

Eh don't really want them in the front. Was going for as clean a look as possible. Nobody sees the back anyways :)

well if you like it then it´s good, it was just an idea of mine
