First PC Build. Went well, only issue with the prebuild was finding a spare monitor to test the video output.
I use the system for gaming and school work. Originally I was using a Hanns.G HW191D for my monitor but bought the LG later, which is amazingly wide. I plan on setting up the Hanns.G as a second monitor.
Upgraded from Windows 7 Home Premium to Win 10 then did a clean install which is why the Windows is set to a lower price.
Would recommend all the parts on the list as they have been stellar so far, except for the case - the originally fitted fan had it's lower screws concealed by one of the mounting bars which I had to forcibly remove (read - lever out with a flat head screwdriver) to access them, and the back panel doesn't line up with the motherboard, which would place extra stress on the hdmi connector if I ever use it.
I get a consistent 60 FPS or higher in GTA V (except for grassy areas), and iirc 60 or above on maximum on Crysis 2. Highest GPU temperature is from Speccy just after a long GTA V session.
Update 27/02/16: Have benchmarked with UNiGiNE Heaven DX11 Heaven Benchmark.
Pre-Benchmark Temps (°C)|Post-Benchmark Temps (°C)
GPU|33|68 or 78, the benchmark said 78, but speccy said 68.
Stereo 3D: Disabled
Full Screen: Yes
Resolution: System (2560x1080)
Score: 1011 MinFPS: 7.8
Good CPU, seems to not bottleneck the GPU and is good enough for folding@home. Would save up for money and go for the 4690K if you want to.
Works well, only issue is that it is halfway between ATX and MATX, so you need a weird standoff configuration.
Good RAM, no issues with it so far. If you buy the motherboard I have and have a case with a window then go for the Fury Blue as it will look nicer.
First SSD I've had, very little space after installing windows but speed is good.
Seems alright, no issues so far.
Don't even notice the missing 0.5GB, nothing seems to be wrong.
Issues with replacing pre-installed fans and the motherboard doesn't line up perfectly with the backplate.
IT HASN'T BLOWN UP == IT IS GOOD.
Not really used this, bought it because I thought I had a spare windows 7 install disc to use.
Good fan. No issues. Weird mounting system - uses rubber plugs not screws.
Same as the other fan.
Nice and wide. Perfect for working with several windows open.
Good mechanical keyboard. I am now addicted.
Surround sound. Nice. Make sure to set CSGO to 5.1 Surround in the audio settings.
