Description

First real build for myself. Wanted something that would be very capable for playing games and multitasking. Just wanted an overall good pc at a decent price.

I am using a Philips 32in led tv as my monitor luckily got it for 100 bucks.

Also ran across a corner desk from office depot that was a floor model, stole it for around 60 bucks.

Purchased a generic wireless mouse and keyboard and headset from office depot as well. Around 40 or 50 total.

Added a wireless xbox 360 receiver and a wireless controller for certain games. Receiver was really cheap from newegg i think. Already had the controller, so after sorting out the drivers it worked flawlessly.

Running windows 7 64 bit os

All together it was more around $920 or so.

Not to mention the first mobo i received died on me after about two weeks. Went to power up the pc and nothing happened. My heart sank......had no idea what was causing this. Tried different ram gpu psu and everything else that i owned. Eventually ran out of ways to troubleshoot to my knowledge. So I had to send it to my local pc shop, where they eventually determined that is was the mobo. After paying close to 100 bucks to the shop and getting my board replaced I finally got it working again.

How'd the 8320 overclock go? Should do great on this setup.

Why not an 8350?

I'm 99% positive that the 8350 is just an overclocked version of the 8320. That said if he overclocks his CPU then he gets a cheaper 8350 (even though he's only saving like $30)

I was always curious about that. Could you point me to a source?

Trust me, I've tried. All I've seen are rumors.

http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/Bulldozer/AMD-FX-Series%20FX-8350.html and http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/Bulldozer/AMD-FX-Series%20FX-8320.html . I just did a side-by-side comparison and aside anything that has to do with core-speeds they're both the same (maybe aside feature, I just did a quick browse).

It was more expensive, and I think the 8320 will do just fine for me.

What fps do you get on games like LoL, Battlefield, Call Of Duty, Assassin Creed ? Do you think that AMD processor was a good choice?

It's very.... Blue

Nice build though. I like the looks. Not much into AMD, but I can appreciate the performance. Looks like a solid build.
