Description

I love AMD!!!

Im sure Intel might have some better performance at a much higher price range but I really love how AMD doesn't rip people off and still preforms outside expectations!!

I put this build together mainly to be more portable than my Main build but will also server the purpose of a multiplayer LAN gaming setup in my apartment sometime later this year. As of right now this PC and my Main are sharing a GPU as I am waiting for a much higher end GPU for my Main build. Will update as this PC grows.

This PC isnt too far behind my Main build and I cant wait to see how close I can get it!! Hope you enjoyed the build and that it might inspire something for your own build! If you have any questions please let me know!

Test results are in middle column.

I'm pretty sure the fx 6300 will bottleneck the r9 390x. I have the same build, but with a 8320. Other than that, it's a nice build.

He did say that he's using the same GPU as he uses in his main rig so it makes sense.

I was planning on putting a 8350 in but when I looked at this one and other AM3+ Micro ATX MoBo's the comment's section said that anything higher than a 6300 couldnt handle the heat and you would be buying a new mobo in about a year or so.. Didnt want to throw money down the toilet.. Wouldnt mind selling this build to buy newer grade!!

If you really like AMD that much then just wait for their new FX CPU's. It's kinda of similar to how Intel has Skylake but it's AMD. Other than that this is a pretty nice build. It looks simple, but is powerful.

You obviously have no idea what you're talking about. Intel not only destroys AMD in every category Intel is also faster, stronger, and not outdated and has their "top end" line dead. Besides Intel doesn't lie saying 100 C is 100% fine and gives you garbage CPUs with more cores to think its stronger and so are the cores when a 9590 is a i3. Besides less cores that are stronger wins any day. Also Intel doesn't make space heaters.

Have fun with that space heater bottleneck at PCIE Gen 2

Did you overclock your CPU in any way? And do you see any bottlenecking in your system?

Yeah, the case just has a big hole at the bottom and the PSU ends right at the corner of the hole.. not much I could do.. I really rather like the individually sleeved cables that CableMod offers.. I do wish they would stay a bit straighter but they look better then flat black.. anyways, thank you for the comment!!

I don't understand how a person can take a side... Both manufacturers have there ups and downs. Like, if you're on a budget, then no doubt AMD is way better when it comes to price to performance. But realistically, Intel will pretty much always outperform AMD. I think rather than taking sides it makes more sense to just go with, well... whatever makes sense.

How many hundreds of dollars will it take to outperform AMD though.. Thats where you should take a side.. Realistically, go on THIS site, look at all the possessors, Sort by highest "GHz", and then look at the prices between the two.. Who did better?

i'm not a fanboy but i think that right now you should only go amd if you're spending under 400$
