Description

This build is still a work in progress as i have since switched out the 660 as physx to a 4th 680 for quad sli. I also swapped out the corsair 1200i for the evga 1500 watt to ensure there was enough power. I will also be transferring this into a double wide from lazeworks that will be clear dark red and black. I will also be water blocking the entire build using fittings for the build and will post new pics in the future. If you have any questions or comments please feel free to leave them.

No that's when i had the 660 2gb for phys-x and then decided to swap it out and get a 4th 680 4gb for quad sli, great deal on ebay couldn't pass it up. I just decided not to take more recent pics because its all going to get rebuilt next month and already have the new custom case ordered for the double wide build.

I got a question, the sleeved cables, is that the corsair kit? if so.. did you only need one kit for three gpus? there were enough cables?

Yes that was custom cables i bought for the 1200i but no there weren't enough cables in the true sense because of the rig. The mobo requires a 6pin for the pci-e slots for extra power and then it also requires an 8 pin for the cpu. So you had to be creative with 3 cards and use a molex to 6pin adapter for the third card and another for the physx when i had it. This is the reason i stepped up to the evga super nova to enure enough power and cables. The super nova allows for all 4 cards and all 6 and 8 pins for the mobo. So the 1200i is great for 3 cards max but don't recommend anything beyond that point and suggest getting a 1500 watt.

I've never seen anything like this. Please take lots of pictures during your upcoming upgrades with the new case and such! I'm so curious as to what it's like to use this computer. I hope you will share some examples of how you've used it or how using it compares to a much lesser build. Are the SSDs in a RAID 0 configuration?

Yes the SSD's are in a raid 0 configuration and i use this for gaming, 3d rendering, photoshop and many other programs. If you want an idea of how its gonna look or looking for something similar check this out http://frozenqshop.gostorego.com/products/cases/liquid-double-wide.html . These guys picked up where danger den left off and they work with these guys from lazerworks that can do all custom cuts and etching on your case.

Does this make sense?

EVGA GeForce GTX 680 + EVGA GeForce GTX 680 = GTX 970 or GTX 960

Also can this run Mine Sweeper
