The parts are the left overs of Internetianers old PC.

The cooler of the GPU was obnoxiously loud and lousy. the card would thermal throttle quite heavily under full load, so I tinkered a little bit and put a CPU cooler on the GPU. If it looks stupid but works, it isn't stupid :-)

And don't worry about the VRAM not being cooled, the stock cooler didn't cool them either but I will put on some heatsinks and a spotfan.

I also replaced the stock fan on the CPU cooler with a BeQuiet! Darkwing 80mm to keep the noise down^

Nice old-gen build! :D

Just one tip, be careful with the PSU! D:

Be careful you dont break the card or motherboard with all that added weight. Also that there isn't anything touching that shouldn't be. Otherwise good to see something semi original here

The Katana 4 is lighter than some board partner cooling solutions (Windforce cooler, ACX2.0 etc), there is no sacking etc. I made sure to keep that in mind when doing that^

I have never had any issues with my 7850 core edition. Was there dust in the heatsink or something? I was even able to get a 45 mhz overclock and it is completely stable.
