This is mostly the remains of an older build that was my personal gaming machine a few years ago, transplanted into a new case. First of all, the pictures may not match the parts list entirely, as I'm still playing with configurations, but the parts list is currently accurate. You may note that the CPU cooler was one of the changes...I went from an Ultra ChillTEC CPU cooler to the Corsair H80 listed below to remedy high temps...which did not change. Case fans got a revamp (bigger, faster, noisier) and I cleaned up the cable mess to allow for better airflow. All of this made me realize 2 things...the Corsair H80 doesn't really want to fit in this case (it will with some smashing and swearing) and that an overclocked i7 950 is nearly impossible to cool. The on board Ethernet went kaput and the motherboard has no USB 3.0 header (but the case has a cable for one) if you wanted to know what the add on cards were for.
This unit is living out its days as my office machine, to keep me warm in the winter. It will soon be auctioned off for charity. Hopefully it will find a new home in a cold climate.
