This is version two of my custom built gaming PC, The Red Viper. Improvements compared to the Original Red Viper are a new Full tower ATX case, aftermarket CPU cooler, another GTX 970 for 2-Way-SLI, 750 Watt Platinum Rated PSU, optical drive, and a fan controller.
It may not be a fancy new 6th generation Intel i7. But this CPU runs strong and bulls anything I throw at it out of the way. I have no intention on overclocking it because in my opinion 4.0GHz is more then enough for anything. Even though i know this processor is capable of being clocked up to 5.0GHz with the right cooling hardware.
No complaints. It may be older but it runs like a champ. Great for someone on a budget looking to get the most bang for their buck.
I had $100.00 so i figured i'd buy a few smaller upgrades for my pc. This was one of them, now honestly I don't believe that i REALLY needed an aftermarket CPU cooler because surprisingly enough the little dinky stock cooler that my FX-8350 came with was doing the job very well indeed. I honestly don't notice much of a difference in temperatures. But the stock cooler is ugly looking and i figured it was time for an upgrade.
Does the job, good quality and can support 2, 120mm fans on either side of it for a push/pull configuration.
Overall: Good Product!
Well, If i wasn't such a dope and payed more attention. I would have realised that this is thermal ADHESIVE.
I question the motive behind wanting to basically, super glue your cpu cooler to your CPU.
No matter the case, I'm sure its a great product. Arctic silver always is. I just don't wish to permanently bond my cooler to the CPU lol.
Great board for starters. Features all the things needed to build a great gaming computer. The only complaint I have is that it doesn't have a USB 3.0 header. But i guess that's what you get when you are on a budget.
It has been running strong for the whole time i have had it.
Once again: Great board for anyone on a budget or just newbies.
Not much to say about this, 16 Gigs, 1866MHz. It's RAM...RAM is RAM lol.
Does the job very well. Only annoyance was having to go into the BIOS and changing some settings around to get it up to the intended 1866MHz clock speed.
I like the red cap, looks good in my Red color themed build.
Absolutely NO, need to go buy an expensive Samsung brand SSD of the same capacity. This works just as well.
HDD Boot Time: ~ 1 Minute
SSD Boot Time: 12-14 Seconds
^ That says it all. Great Product!
It's a 1 TB Hard drive. Nothing to say, does the job haha.
Good product and cheap for the capacity.
Great GPU. It may not be very glamerous looking compared to other cards. But i bought this specifically because of the blower style cooler. It is the best type of cooller for running SLI because it just blows the heat out the back of the case instead of back into the case. Great for close quarters that happen with SLI.
Great case! I spent hours looking through the multiple full tower atx cases on the market. My main selling point was the promise of future water cooling. This case sealed the deal for me being able to support 10, 120/140mm case fans. It can support up to a 360mm radiator on the top, a 240mm radiator on the bottom, and a 140mm radiator on the back. Perfect for any type of water cooling setup i can think of.
Now besides that, it is a great quality product. Very sturdy feeling. The larger then average thumb screws are a nice touch. Sleek design, great looks. The 4, 5.25" inch bays are nice. One of the bays being an internal bay which would be good for something like a drive bay water pump or reservoir. Everything is an easy tool-less design that makes switching parts easy and painless.
The only thing that aggravates me about this case is the side window is tinted so much that you can barely tell that my LED lights are on inside the case when the panel is on.
10/10 Glad I chose this case!
Great power supply. I originally had a Cooler Master G650M 80+ Bronze rated. This thing is a massive step up in quality. 80+ Platinum rated for a 750 watt PSU is amazing for this price. I honestly just don't have that much to say about this power supply because their really isn't that much to say other then: It runs great, looks great, and does the job great!
I honestly don't have anything bad to say about this product. I've only used it once to watch a movie. I really only bought it to have it in case I needed it for something. It does the job.
Great product. Not a whole lot to say about it, because it's simple and does the job very well. That's what I love about this product, the simplicity of it. Simple slider's to controll the speeds. I have all the case fans in my case hooked up to this, that's 9 fans in totall (A few have splitters). Great fan controller and looks good too in my case.
Great headset! Good sound and multiple sound profiles.
EXTREMELY comfortable. The ear cups design is that so it will perfectly fit around your ear without crushing your ear. I can go all day wearing these non stop whereas with other headphones i could only go an hour or two before my ears hurt.
Only problem I had is that i accidently broke the usb plug by bending it while reaching for something on my dresser. I fixed this by finding an old USB charger and cutting it and splicing it onto the end of the headset's cord. Works fine.
