Description

Hey all! This is my second build, the last being a i7-2600k build back when it came out and its lasted me until now!

I've been playing alot more FPS games so finally wanted to take advantage of 144hz, and my last rig just wasn't cutting it anymore.

I had a few issues trying to get the rad mounter in the front of the case, had to take out all the HDD cages to make it fit, as I don't think it looks good top mounted in the smaller case!

Currently 2 of the fans are not running, due to lack or headers on the board, the 1-3 splitter should be here in a day or 2.

I player with a few overclocking settings on the 8700k, it seemed to run at 5GHz no problem but i feel safer with it down at 4.5GHz for now.

Very happy with all of the components, now when I play PUBG on mostly Ultra settings + 1440p i average out around 120fps, and mostly every other game I play is 200-300+ FPS!

damn nice build

Thank you!

Pretty! How are your temps in that small of a case? Do you feel the need to put that 1080ti under water?

DJ_R3KT submitter 1 Build 1 point 4 months ago

Not bad at all, the GPU stays at the target of 84 and cpu is around 70~

Chicken2366 1 point 4 months ago

What's the temp of your room on average? My room tends to get quite hot with me gaming for a few hours with my current pc ( although that runs a stock cooler so i guess that will be better when i make a system like this one with a aio )

Obelisk. 1 point 4 months ago

A better cooler might not make your room cooler, it might actually make it hotter. A new cooler would more effectively disperse the heat of your CPU.

Aelar_Nailo 1 point 4 months ago

Cool, thanks. Game on!

beautiful

Rhizomorphic 1 point 4 months ago

are those the new corsair rgb fans?

DJ_R3KT submitter 1 Build 1 point 4 months ago

They are, the LL, forgot to add them to the list!

typow 3 Builds 2 points 4 months ago

They are just way too expensive for fans, but in that build #worth! I wouldn't be worried about running at 5GHz unless you're getting too hot in that small case. Small, powerful, beautiful, kickass build!

sammys87gnxgta4 1 Build 1 point 4 months ago

This makes me wanna put my graphics cards with the fans facing up using a riser card, i dunno if it's possible but I would wanna try it out if I'm doing a build like this.

DJ_R3KT submitter 1 Build 1 point 4 months ago

Yeah that was a concern of mine aswell but it seems to be doing just fine!

sammys87gnxgta4 1 Build 1 point 4 months ago

Maybe my Coffee Lake build will be a Mini ITX and possibly the upside down GPU idea that I hope would work with a riser

Braok 1 point 4 months ago

Why didn't you get a 240hz monitor instead?

DJ_R3KT submitter 1 Build 2 points 4 months ago

Price mostly, and the feeling that I wouldn't get above 144 on most more intensive games anyways.

customgtp 17 Builds 1 point 4 months ago

That's pretty!!

Thank you!

Superb build. I'm soooo tempted to go with Mini ITX...

francimanty 1 point 4 months ago

These fans are beautiful, but i think you should: 1- play on all the three monitors 2- use a 4.7 ghz ( i saw it's the best choice to not get much hot) 3- custom cables 4- try to show more the "ti" logo on the gpu 5- a RGB strip (with the corsair fans that should be beautiful)

Love the build! I'm in the process of building another just like it for myself.

For my wife I have the same case and the same H100i v2. If you mount the radiator in the front you can put its fans on the inside of the case and then the GPU cover will just fit. I like the look of the GPU cover as it fills up some space and adds a nice pedestal to add accessories (Pop Vinyl Figure) to or whatever else floats your boat.

Chicken2366 1 point 4 months ago

Did you put some led strips in or is that led from the motherboard next to the ram

INFLCT 2 Builds 1 point 4 months ago

it looks so pretty

rourich 1 point 4 months ago

Hello! Thanks for posting this build! It's so awesome. I'm going to be modeling my new build off of yours and ordered the same case, fans and water cooling system. What do you mean by: "Currently 2 of the fans are not running, due to lack or headers on the board, the 1-3 splitter should be here in a day or 2." What splitter did you have to order to make the other fans work? Thanks!

FivePercent 1 point 4 months ago

How do you like this case? I was thinking about buying the mid tower version or the new NZXT H700i. Thanks!

ransom10 1 point 4 months ago

Does the node pro sync with the Aura? I have almost the same build, and my i7 gets here tomorrow :)

ernest_tbassv2 1 point 4 months ago

How is the ASUS motherboard. I'm in the process of an itx build. Not sure if i should go with the Z370-I or should i hold of till the first quarter of 2018 and see what other boards become available.

SwiftCookie 1 point 4 months ago

Hey wicked build!

Just wondering how the new LL fans are treating you? Any issues?

cheers! :)

loxypepperfly 1 point 3 months ago

so you only used m.2 for your files and didnt consider using hdd? i do have the same case and wanted to get a 240mm rad in front but it really need to sacrifice the hdd mount.

SynnabiS 1 point 3 months ago

very nice build, i wish i can build this kind of pc, how difficult is this build? is it too hard to build this pc for a first timer?

squishyhexagon 1 point 3 months ago

Im second guessing myself with this case. I love how yours came out and especially the color scheme its nearly convincing me to go with it. On the other hand, I feel like they were lazy when making this case. Like they just removed the old panel and found somewhere to screw in the squared glass. I especially don't like how the glass sticks out like that on the edges. I hope they redesign this and make it like a smaller version of the mATX with glass on both sides.

DoodGamer135 1 point 3 months ago

Nice build, but whats the monitor like?

abgraphics 1 point 3 months ago

Strange Question but could you fit a 140mm Exhaust Fan at the back of the case with the Strix Z370 MOBO or was 120mm the only option?!

BartoL 1 point 2 months ago

Relly nice RGB Bulid!!!!!!! Is there any more space for 140mm fans?

brizian 1 point 2 months ago

Great build. Thanks for the inspiration. I built it's twin brother: https://photos.app.goo.gl/tvD2XIFugmsaRK2I3

ledzepan 1 point 1 month ago

Hey there! I'm a bit late to the party but I was wondering how the ll120 fans were doing with the fan header splitter you mentioned? I want to get these fans but I have the same issue of only having one 4 pin header. I want to get a splitter too but some folks told me that it could be dangerous to put three fans on one header :/. I hope to hear from you but even if I don't I just wanted to say, nice build and good job dude :3

123ExplodingTNT 1 point 1 month ago

nice!

Brentonator 1 point 1 month ago

I built this build and found the GPU was butt up against the power supply. The GPU always ran in the low 80s but the CPU was always nice and cool below 60. Unfortunately 30 days in I think I have a Mobo failure. No post, no qled, rgb ram colors, green Mobo rgbs, fans kick up only for a split second then stop. Tried every combo of with and without every piece of hardware. Same no post, no qled, rgb colors, and every fan header only kicks on half a second. Even the GPU....fans would try to turn on one after the other ovr and over.

Otherwise, loving the case, appearance, and setup. Just need to get an ftw graphics card to take the GPU temps down.

Nice build OP! Considering doing one just like this. How did you mount your fans?

Are the top and rear exhausting? And are your Radiator fans intaking from the front of the case?

I was probably going to use an H115i to cool a Ryzen 1700, and replicate your fan config. Any ideas on OC potential with that cooler and fan config?

DJ_R3KT submitter 1 Build 1 point 4 months ago

Top and rear are exhaust, front 2 fans are intake. I haven't played around with higher oc's much right now as i see no need to go above 4.5, but it stays pretty cool!

JCMsergox 2 Builds 1 point 4 months ago

Interesting.. I've been considering using the same Enthoo case you're usuing. I always heard that the air intake on the front sucks because there's not a lot of ventilation. And there's certainly not a lot of airflow going to the graphics card. Does that stay reasonably cool under load too?

Xetion 3 Builds 1 point 4 months ago

No problems with airflow. I have the same case and I had a front mounted rad for a long time and it works really fine with good airflow. I was also sceptical at first glance but it turned out to be good!!
