Description

Built this as an upgrade to my old AMD BUILD, had a mid sized tower that was to big to have sitting in my living room, so I had to downsize to something I could fit in my unit. The small form factor htpc builds were harder than I thought they would be especially from being use to much bigger cases to work in, I am still not happy with the silverstone TD03 being in there even though I bought the slim model, the tubbing being not very flexible it was a trouble trying to fit it all in this case. This is a kick in the teeth because on the silver stone website it recommended this water cooler for the ML07 case. I might end up swapping it out for an air cooler at some point just because everything seems like it's crushed in there. Aside from that everything else was a doddle I managed to have pretty good cable routing, especially with the msi z871 all the cables bar the front panel audio and 8-pin atx connectors were all up the right side and managed to route the cables behind the power supply leaving no cables going over the motherboard. In this build I decided to buy a ssd bracket that houses two 2.5 inche drives to mount on top of the power supply thought this would be a good idea if I wanted to get more ssd' s in the future. But this was a very fun build a lot of things could of gone wrong especially with my clumsy hands but apart from loosing a few screws inside the case then having to take the motherboard out, take the power supply out and the bracket that holds the gpu a few times, it was a joyous experience... ... ...

I don't like the Silverstone watercooler either. Just to loud and bad cooling for whatever reason, even with an EK-Vardar 3000Rpm fan :D More pics please ;)

Now that I have had it on for a while it's quite crap, even the idle temp wasn't impressive as what I thought it would be. I am definitely gonna see about changing the water cooler.

The reality is that most expensive air coolers are quite better than equally expensive water coolers.

God I hate that case. Pain the *** to build in.

+1 for Silverstone case fans.

I would have gone with an R9 Nano instead of the 980, but cool nonetheless.

More pictures please! I was thinking about building something small just like that, but got an amazing deal on the Corsair 380T that I couldn't pass it up. Great job!

Good job, I used the same case for my HTPC/gaming "console" build, I love the look and size of it but it can be difficult to build in.

it actually slipped right in ;) with a lot more room to spare, I think these cases can hold up to a 13 inch GPs.
