Description

Built for my 16 yo daughter for Christmas 2019 to be used for gaming, animation, and video editing... and because I was sick of buying a new ******* laptop every two years :D

Looks good. Would that be goodnfor streaming as well? I am looking for a budget gaming/streaming build.

I'm no expert, so I can't say for sure, but it seems to be running great!

I like me a budget build and this is a very smart one! the only thing you might need to add later one would be some additional storage, but if you have a few "******* laptop"s laying around im sure you can grab the '******* hard drive' out of one of them ;) nice job for real though, she will be happy with the computer.

Cool, thank you! You're right on the storage for sure, but I've never tinkered with pulling apart a laptop- thx for the tip.

Taking laptop hard drives out is usually easy, there’s a battery door looking thing screwed into the bottom, and then the hard drive is screwed in and right there after you open the door for every one I’ve ever gutted for a hard drive. They use the same connectors as regular hard drives, I have found a spot to screw one down inside cases and I’ve zip tied them to the drive bays too.

Pretty good build, but the 650W 80+ Bronze is way too much. A normal 450W 80+ Bronze would have been enough, but anyways, great build and merry Christmas!

Thanks! I went with the higher wattage because it was the same price at the time and I plan on upgrading other components down the line.
