Description

I built this computer for gaming. The case says it can only fit GPUs up to a length of 300mm but I was still able to fit a Vega 64 (310mm) in there very snugly. I used as much Corsair RGB that I could because I'm a fan of iCUE. This was an upgrade from a FX 8350 + RX 480 and I am very happy with results. I was able to get 7220 in Timespy vs my old build score of 3942 . I put black cardboard paper on the bottom under the graphics card to hide the emptiness, almost like a psu cover on the bigger cases.

Part Reviews

Motherboard

I bought this board because it didn't have RGB on it or any wild colored heatsinks or slots, Just plain black and grey. Works great with Ryzen 2600x and Corsair Vengeance 3200 ram. I bought it without knowing it had WiFi and Bluetooth so that was a pleasant surprise. My First mini build and I love it.

Memory

The RGB is beautiful and bright. The more ram slots you have the funner it is lol. I just love the look of it. Memory runs cool and fast. iCue is a great feature.

Case

Beautiful case. Cable management is great. It says it can only fit GPUs with a length of up to 300mm but I was able to fit a Vega 64 in there (310mm). Be sure to get window cleaner with this case as it is very easy to get finger prints.

Keyboard

Works great, RGB is bright except for right under the space bar, it looks like they could have fit a couple more LEDs down there. I had the k55 before this and it had macro keys on the left of the board, it was a cheaper board and didn't have per-key back lighting but it would be nice if this keyboard had those macro buttons. iCue is a great feature.

Mouse

Works good for shooters. iCue is a great feature. I have no complaints.

This card is huge but so far so good. It runs brand new AAA games great. I dont have a 4k screen but it runs 1440 really smooth. I was actually torn in between this card and a RTX 2070. But at $420 I couldn't pass it up. The 3 free games that came with it were also better than the 3 that came with the RTX imo.

Yes, and they overclock really good as well. They also work with cheaper freesync monitors.

Keep in mind that most models will run hot and will draw alot of power when overclocked. Although i think the sapphire nitro model is pretty decent.

Do you have any concerns about that cardboard melting/combusting/causing issues in any way?

Apparently I live dangerously because I didn't even think of that, thanks lol. The glass on the side of the case hangs open at the bottom because the wires on the gpu stick out so it is well ventilated. The cardboard is hiding two 120mm fans but it definitely needs an upgrade to plastic.

Nice build OP, what kind of power supply did you get? You know a PSU is probably the most important component in a PC. Gotta say, you got the best b450 Mini ITX motherboard, i've worked that beauty multiple times and it carries alot of features for the price.

Thanks, its actually my first mini board and I love it. Sorry I didn't realize the psu wasn't on the list. I had to use a EVGA-BQ 850 W 80+ Bronze from my last build. I bought a corsair 650w before I decided to get the Vega 64 and it wasn't enough power.
