Description

This is my 1st ever PC build. The prices I attached are what I paid including rebates. I tried to include absolutely EVERYTHING I had to purchase for my build.

Part Reviews

CPU Cooler

Keeps my i5-4690k stock Idling around 28-30c and 48-50c while gaming. Lost one star because the RED colored LED is dim whenever I start up my computer. I have to go to settings and fix it every time.

EDIT: The light has been staying light now-a-days...

Storage

Boots up fast, the only thing I regret is not going all SSD and no HDD. Anyway, perfect for a boot drive and main programs.

Video Card

Got this card for $240. All other r9 290s were over $300. Looks Great, Runs Great so far. I get 60+ FPS every game that I played (h1z1, ESO, Skyrim, CS:GO)... Temps Run around 65-80 Degrees. Depending on the length of the gaming session. Solid GPU. Def good for the price. Now I want a Titan :)

Case

Beautiful looking case. Pretty easy to work with besides the built in Thumb screws were a pain for some reason. Had a little trouble getting the hard drive trays out because of those screws. Sometimes I will pop the front off to increase Air flow but I was willing to do that to have a pretty Silent case.

Power Supply

Got on sale for $100. Cant beat that.

GPU-Z got it at 980MHz... I am doing some bench marking now using Valley. This is my 1st time bench marking so i'm trying to learn how to do everything correctly. When I ran Valley on Ultra GPU was running at 78c. My case was closed and idk if my GPU fans were on 100%

download MSI Afterburner and set a more agressive fan curve if you wanna keep temps down
