Description

This is a very late post.

I took advantage of the holiday deals around Black Friday 2018 and decided to proceed with my first PC build.

Prior I have always had either a pre-built and or gaming laptop.

I'm a big tech enthusiast and geek so I follow/ watch a lot of channels on YouTube regarding gear/ tech/ PC building.

As a career, being in IT has helped me with the technical aspect of things so when I went to build my PC I didn't have any issues aside from the case restrictions.

Overall I'm happy with the build and have been using it without issue. I even went ahead and helped a few friends from my console days transition to the PCMasterRace by getting some budget builds setup (I'll post those as well once I get a moment).

The only change(s) I may end up doing is possibly incorporating liquid cooling into my build as it does tend to run warm with the two major components: CPU/GPU.

I may swap the dual MSI Optix G24Cs for a 27/32" 1440 monitor at some point as well.

Super clean build. I saw on JayzTwoCents that you can black-out that yellowy edge of the graphics card with just a sharpie if you want to really commit to the black-out look.

True. That sharpie covers a myriad of things. Mustard and ketchup fan cables too :)

Yeah, I saw him do that with his latest build too.

I might do that if it gets to that point.

What did you do with the ram, it lights up red? And another question, why did you choose for the ASrock b450 and not the asus b450?

It's the Corsair Vengeance RGB, I can set it in the iCue app.

No real reason other than, it was the cheaper option and had what I needed. I haven't experienced any issues with the board.
