This is my first REAL build.

The NZXT Kraken X62 is a superb AIO cooler. Does a fabulous job and is very quiet.

The H500i is a beautiful case. No regrets there.

Going from 16GB DDR3 at 1500 MHz to 32GB DDR4 at 3000 MHz is a night and day difference.

My favorite part of this build is the Samsung 970 Evo SSD. M.2 NVME is unbeatable. My last PC took 5-10 minutes to load Windows. Now with the 970 Evo it loads in just seconds.

Part Reviews

In my opinion -- the best CPU for gaming available. 9900k is just not worth the extra money.

CPU Cooler

Looks great, basically no noise whatsoever, and keeps the 9700k at great temps.

Definitely should've gotten a better MOBO for my build but this seems to do the job just fine right now. Probably the first thing I will upgrade at a later date.

Really good ram for the money. 3000MHz is a huge improvement over 1500 if you're looking to upgrade from that.

You need to get one of these (or even a lower capacity 970) to boot windows from. Period.

Looks great, but I wish the CM options were a little better.

Power Supply

No noise whatsoever. Fabulous PSU.

Did you spray paint the GPU?

He doesn't have 2080 super its 2070 super. Unless he actually painted it.

These pictures are out of date. I swapped out the 2070 Super for the 2080 Super. It sucks that Gigabyte didn't make the white version back when I did the build.

Great build. Your GPU temps are suffering since there is not much clearance between the glass and GPU fans. It looks great vertically but function over form may be called for here for the sake of GPU temps. Good luck +1

I'm getting about 81/82 when its at about 97% load. Not too many games I play drive the GPU to work that hard so I'm not too worried since I won't be using it continuously at 80+ temps.

Typically the max load temp I get is 65-75.

Like I said, I may look into a liquid cooler but I'm not too sure about the returns I'll get with that so I need to do some research.

Take a look at the next g12 bracket I'm running one in my shift. Your temps will be excellent so the car will boost higher. But the amount you invest won't be returned in ways of performance per dollar. But it runs cool and it's a fun mod.

Looks great! If I take a 200mm riser, will I have enough? (NZXT H500i, ASRock Z390 Pro4 ATX)
