My problems with this build were that psu is not sleeved alsothat cables not long enough for good cable manegment lastly no onboard usb 3.0 header on motherboard so I was a 12 year old who built and it was easy so if I can do it you can
The pictures.. they burn the eyes..
This kid needs paint to rotate his pictures. My head doesn't bend and snap like that.
I should have said something about the kink in my neck ;)
You definitely should have gotten a different power supply.
Whoa! Smh. :D
Ahh fire hazard PSU!
It looks horrid. But first build so I'll give em a break.
Did you take photos with a potato?
I was 12 when I did my first build as well!! Except I was building in a prodigy and my cable management was better than this. Just something to work on!
I'd up the gpu. and this is kind've mid-low, but great job.
I'd say tidy up the cables a bit other than that props for the build
Please replace the PSU it's just not reliable. You also won't need 500W, you can easily replace it with a lesser but quality PSU.
Do a little bit more research next time you build. :) It's fine, first builds are always confusing.
*i mean the psu.
New pics needed and cable management down the road and votes will go up .
+1 for price range
I have a fx-6300 - HD7770 and play everything med to high with never no problems
I get that OP is 12, but man, that case is just dreadful. Motherboard proximity to the top of the case prevents top case fan installation 90% of the time and acoustics are terrible.
PSU is probably tier 5, but other than that the rest of the parts are good value.
Ya Guys i know i should have went with diff rent case and PSU but when i get my christmas money maybe get new psu, case and 8350
You take pictures like a 12 year old, but the build is solid except for the power supply. Never cheap on the power supply.
I got the CX 430m now and I got the HAF912 case.
Quality of pictures over quanity works better. Nice build
Could you at least use correct grammar? I'm twelve too, and its not that hard.
My pictures are pretty bad, I took it woth my s3
I am also rhinking about putting in hackintosh
The kid is 12 years old, show some love for someone that young doing this. Nice job!
In my experience, young intelligent people just want to be treated like everyone else.
14 and 12 are very different ages. Regardless, OP still should have done a little more research.
That's Still no excuse, if your parents or close friend build computers and know alot about them than even if you're 12 you can know about computers and how to build them.
I'm not sure that the OP had anyone to help him with the build. I'm not 14 so I may just not remember but I do recall being a lot smarter at that age relative to my intelligence at 12. Nevertheless, I do think that given some help the OP would have a better build on his hands, but the description makes no mention of someone helping him.
Hmm, Yes I guess help does change alot. I remember building computers alone at the age of 13. I don't think there is a huge difference between 12 and 13.
agreed. I am setting up giant open loop water cooling systems on my high end parts like 3 gtx titans and my 3970x all on an asus rampage iv extreme and I am 13. expensive toys, but so awsome. building a computer isent rocket science. I build my first pc by myself when I was 9.... got board of my legos I guess :)
Hey, Good luck on the build. I get a bit annoyed that young kids like you get such expensive components from their parents, some people are different though. I'm close enough to my friend to know that he works for his parent's restaurant, so he isn't spoiled imo.
I inherited some of the legos, and I purchesed most of them, but I got myself to where I am and my parents have only chipped in around 200$, that was for my first build. as a matter of fact, my parents are a little bit of technophobes.
:). My Entire family is into computers because of me haha. They don't spend any of their money on computers because I already have so many.
I also work, and I had this massive collection of pretty rare legos that I sold and got around 6k for. still reaping the benefits from that one.
Haha nice, I'll have to take your word for it.
when i was 8 i was already taking computers apart, never building them though. at least not untill recently, back then spongebob didnt exist so all we had to watch on tv was Johnny Quest,scooby-doo and a few otehr shows i cant remember, and that was how i had fun.
I'm 14 and just built a 4670k and GTX 770 with most of the money I saved up, (I'll post it soon). But honestly I don't know who helped you pick out these parts, you should of at least posted it on a forum and had someone review it. Dont be suprised if your room catches on fire because of that power supply, and you should of gone with dual channel memory too.
dont be supprised when you cant upgrade to broadwell..lol...
