Description

Well, this is my new build. I sold my 4930k for 540 (payed 325) and sold my 780's at 480 a piece.. I wanted to try a 2 Way SLi 780 Ti build based around haswell. I currently only game on 1 monitor @ 1440p so 3 way sli 780 was going to waste... I know this build is slight overkill as well :). I also wanted to switch to a closed loop simple watercooling setup.. Going back to my custom loop soon I hate this H110 (my mistake!)

I hope you don't have every fan acting as an exhaust because you like the red rings facing in.

I'm not sure your ram is placed correctly, but a great build!

This is one of cleanest builds I have ever seen, oh and I love the name also.

Unless you always have your side window removed I suggest you flip some of those fans, at the moment they are all exhausts - which wont help in cooling as no cooler air is being blown in to replace it.

Also on a more minor note; you've listed the wrong fans.

Nice build but if all your fans are seemingly exhaust, where will you draw in fresh air?

I like the build! Killer components! Also, it looks like your RAM is seated in the wrong slots. If you are using two sticks of RAM, you want to make sure they are in the same color coordinated slots, not two different ones. I would refer to the motherboard manual to see which slots would be the best for two sticks of RAM.

I am also selling a bit of stuff but not sure where to put it to get a decent price. Any suggestions?

I see comments about all the fans being used as exhausts. The 750d case comes with room for 2 fans upfront... surely they are drawing in fresh air. I don't see the front in any pictures feel free to correct me.

He updated his pics since it's was first posted. There was one with everything, including the front fans, orientated to make the red rings face the inside. It's been corrected so it's all good.

Good thing you updated this post, everything seems to be much better now. Enjoy your build!

Flip your bottom-mounted fan to act as an intake. Also, fix your RAM - again. You have a different configuration in every picture, but none of them are correct. Try populating both of the black DIMM slots.

I see two intake fans the rest are exhaust, why are people giving you a hard time about the fans? It might make sense to flip that bottom one so everything is being blown in and up towards the top ones but doubt it's that big of a deal. I think I understand, all pictures may not have been uploaded while people were commenting

SLI on one monitor? Why waste it? You could easily get the same graphics spread over 2 or 3 monitors.

To each own, I had 3 qnix 2710s but returned the pair it was not my thing. I prefer gaming at 1440P at 120hz anything less than 100 fps bothers me, 120hz has definitely spoiled me.

wow. Can't play under 100 fps? you spoiled guy!

What a fantastic build! well done!

May I ask, why do you hate the H110? It is a great cooler.

  • 1 point

Hate was probably too strong of a word :), it is a decent cooler if I were to go closed loop it would probably be the kraken x60.. my custom loop kept temps in the 60's @ load and 19-24 on idle, this h110 is 28-30 @ idle 70ish @ load.. it is warming up in california though!

What sort of temperatures are you getting with those dual 780 Ti's under load? I'm planning on pretty much going for an identical build as yours, are the fans noisy?
