Built this Mainly for gaming and editing, will be adding a second 760 soon! Any suggestions or criticisms are welcome. Sorry for my bad pictures...the lighting was awful!
How does this beauty perform? I was going for the EXACT build but with a 780.
If you want a much quieter performance, i suggest using sp 120 quiet for the rad, and af 140 for exhaust.
Your machine will be SO quiet!
If you put a 780 in this you'll be unstoppable! And yes I am going to get sp120's eventually.
This is very good!
Beautiful build, great job. +1
Is the case good? I'm going to be upgrading to the 540 from my 300r.
I've got the 540 as well and I love it. The compartmentalization of having your PSU on the other side makes wiring amazing, there is an awesome side window, and the airflow in the case is just in the name haha
I really wanted to upgrade to this case since it looks sweet and I can add a bigger cooler, but the 300r is very small to small for a big cooler. Thanks for your opinion
should have get the i5 and that $100 should have spent it on a better card other than that nice build.
Needed the power and hyperthreading for heavy editing loads.
you mention you gona get a other 760 and are you going with dual or tri monitors?
Not sure yet, I might just go for a 2560x1440 monitor.
get a 8350 and save 2oo bucks
Not an AMD guy, sorry!
don't apologize but in my opinion amd things are better in value for the money
Less money, more problems.
Sweet build, gotta get yourself another 760 in there. And maybe some beefy hard drives. How was the double wide for building in?
Nice build. I do I detect some Corsair custom sleeved cables in this bad boy?? I'm also a member of the Corsair 540 club!!
Thanks man! Nope those cables are from the stock EVGA power supply, which is awesome. Wooooo 540! : D
Sweet build. Question: Did you have any problem mounting the H100i into the Air with the Hero motherboard? About to pull the trigger on the Hero and am hearing there are challenges mounting the radiator with the Hero.
In the Air 540 there is absolutely no problem, it really just depends what case you're using. Check this list for a somewhat recent case compatibility list! Other than that the hero and h100i work beautifully together! don't worry about a thing. http://www.overclock.net/t/1144409/h80-h80i-h90-h100-h100i-h110-case-compatibility-thread-page-1-for-full-listings
Thanks. Using the Air 540 as well, and plan to put it in a push/pull configuration. And thanks for the link, it's a huge help if it turns out I'm going to need to do any modding.
