If anyone wants to offer a better name, I'd be open to suggestions.

This build was made to be a video editing and 3D rendering machine. I will, in time be upgrading the processor, RAM, and possibly even running two graphics cards in SLI. But until then, this is already so much faster than what I've come from. Ran Cinebench and wept tears of joy. Thanks guys for suggesting the GTX 970.

I had very little problem putting this machine together. There are a few things I would like to point out to anyone thinking about this kind of build. First, as noted by most people using the H440, cable management is a pain. Other than that, the case is beautiful, and I've had no problems with air flow, despite what looks like a really restrictive design. That being said, if I ever do find that it is heating up a bit during intense rendering, I can pop off the front panel and let those fans hum along.

This case does have a fan hub. However, the motherboard has enough connectors, so that all the fans can be run by the motherboard, instead of just going full tilt all the time.

Lastly, there's the switch in the back to turn the LED's on and off. Well, the wires in my switch were broken where they connected. A short fix with a soldering iron takes care of that.

BTW, take note that your water cooler might have thermal compound pre-applied.

Part Reviews

Excellent choice. Has enough fan headers for my 4 regular fans, the cpu fan, and a dedicated head for water coolers. The placement of some of the headers is a little odd, so I have 3 fan cables that run diagonally and hover over the processor, but that's just my build. Excellent choice and plenty of ports.

Clean, and well picked part-list!

-The picture indicate the thick 140mm NZXT AIO; however, your part list indicates otherwise.

-Maybe a pic of your cable management? >:P

Great job! Love the color scheme and well thought parts.

Ugh! You got me. I switched some parts last minute, and failed to update my parts list. That's been fixed. Yes, I went with the NZXT Kraken X31. Also, had a 3TB WD Blue drive as my storage drive. And as for a pic of my cable management, well this is my first build, and it's a mess. Maybe I'll be brave and post it anyway in time.

Nice build! I found yours by searching for people with the same parts as my own build. If you haven't done so already, you could help your fan cables with a few inexpensive extensions if you want them to look a little cleaner.

Performance PC's is where I got mine, and depending on the length, many are under $5. They'll even sleeve them in whatever color you want.
