A few months ago, I helped my gf build her dream PC. We built it around the Corsair 250D, with a Red/Black/Silver theme. She uses it mostly for gaming and occasionally photo-editing on Adobe CC Lightroom and Photoshop (photography is her hobby). Most of the parts were purchased used from Reddit/r/hardwareswap.
One hindrance we encountered was we had to flash the BIOS so that the Z87 chipset board will be compatible with the Haswell refresh 4690K
We are aware of the Samsung 840 EVO performance degradation. The 840 was my old SSD I purchased last year, before anyone knew of the slowdown problems. We updated the firmware and so far we have not experienced any problems.
This past week (2/01/16), she recently entered this build on an Instagram competition for SFF/ITX builds, hosted by @mitxlove. I figured it would be a great time to share with you all. Enjoy!
