Description

This PC was challenge for me and my son, as the first one that we built was in the early 80's I wanted a game PC with some lights and to play FPS Games of couse for the grandsons when they come over. LOL Getting the RBG lights connected and working was a learning experience for us, but was daisy chaining then together was a plus. Also, it was a little different because we had the hub to hook stuff to and not the mobo, like the first build we did. I thought I could control the fan light with the mystic software, but that didn't work as we had to download the fusion 2.0 software to control them and the RBG Strips only get controlled from the button on the case.

We couldn't figure out why my dvd drive was not showing up, but figured out that it had the same drive letter as my HDD, so changing drive letters did the trick. I brought a fan to put into the bottom, but the cover that goes over the power supply stopped that and I didn't want to take out the one HDD bays, but six 140mm fans are doing there job. A lot of reviews said, that the case had bad airflow, but seem to stay cool and let airflow in and out great.

The fans on my GPU we thought were not working, but they only spin when I guess the GPU starts to heat up. The case has great cable management to hide cable, some were a little tight but it worked.

I added two extra fans and six Halos lights to the fans

Over all we are pleased with the build, and hoping to start gaming soon and learn about all the features and software that came with the system.

Total cost give /take $2,900

Nice build. Just note that you have the Halos fan LED's mounted back to front. Flipping them around gives a much better diffused effect. Try it.

I had mounted then that way because I did not want to remove the preinstalled fans. so you are saying remove fans and put them on the other side.

No, just take the halos off and flip them around then attach to the fans. Have a look at my halos mounted and you'll see.

My opinion is, it's not a great looking case anyway, from the front, but is what he needed. Function over looks. It just sits in the house, anyway. Does look nice from the window side, though. Good job.
