All the parts worked really well with each other, and using AIO for the CPU and GPU, and running all ultra quite fans, it runs very cool and quite. Over all, i am very happy with this build, and for the theme i stuck with the black and carbon fiber look from the Sea Hawk and the Mother board. I accented the case by wrapping a few pieces int he Corsair 400c Carbon case. I also blacked out the rings on the fans and cut Carbon Fiber Wrap circles for the fan centers, as well as the fan shroud for the DRAM. I blacked out quit a few pieces and wrapped most of the others to try to keep the colors consistent. I also set all the LEDs to white and ran a couple LED strips that i picked up from an auto parts store for the white LED appearance. I also made a cover for the peripherals out of a Rubbermaid box, i cut, lightly sanded and painted matte black and cut a carbon fiber wrap boarder, to cover all the silver USB connectors, etc... Lastly to clean up the cable appearance, i used zip-ties and made cable combs to clean up their look. Hope you like it and feel free to ask any questions.

Nice build. But that is one expensive Wifi card you got there.

SeBreeze9000 2 points 31 months ago

I was actually gonna invest some money into a Wifi Adapter myself, OP can you comment on your signal strength?

Usually when I see MSI I'm like ugh, but this is incredibly fresh I do like the color combinations it's sleek as hell +1

First off, thank you for the build compliment. As to answer your question and to address the WiFi card price. I am in a small apartment, and i can not get Time Warner to install cable / road runner because of the building placement in conjunction with the pole, blah blah blah... long story short, my friend owns the house next door, so i am piggy-backing off of them. I am roughly 120' from their house and have had no issues with signal strength.. additionally, i travel a bit, and stay at K.O.A. camp sites (Mini trailer), and some times you're not very close to the WiFi hub in the camp ground. I figured i would go big on the WiFi and hopefully not have any issues in that scenario, and so far it has served me well. I never did any direct testing, db vs distance, mainly because it hasn't failed me at all. all in all, i like the card and don't regret its cost at all.

Ok awesome! Just recently upgraded my internet but I don't think I'll have a long enough ethernet by the time I'm done with my build so this was good feeback, thank you.

Glad to have helped, and I'm looking forward to seeing your build posted!

where did you get that backround from

mccleeser submitter 2 Builds 1 point 30 months ago

initially i wanted a carbon / white MSI logo, but when i set the razor keyboard and mouse to white it had a blue tint to it. with that i changed my google search, scrolled a lot and found a couple really nice ones in different spots. I don't recall exactly where i found the dragon one, but right now i am using an nVidia one that looks great too IMO.

Between nice build.

Hey mccleeser, sick build. Im looking to warp my PSU cover too but in Satin White and I wanted to make the Corsair logo gloss gold. I'm just curious as to how you got the carbon fibre warp to shape the Corsair logo so good? Did you just run ur fingers through it pushing it in or something?

mccleeser submitter 2 Builds 1 point 22 months ago

I am very sorry, im military and have been gone for a bit... as for the logo, I used a heat gun to warm the wrap and pressed it in alittle at a time.
