Description

Had my trusty Asus G73-jh for the last 4 years with no issues. However the last 2 months the machine was dying randomly and was having a hard time running newer games. Was lucky to get 20 fps in D3:RoS, and don't even get me started on trying to play Titanfall.

CPU Went with the 4770k for some light video editing I will be doing. Also, gotta love those Microcenter prices.

CPU Cooler H100i is the best

MoBo Asus reliability

Ram Standard 8gb, 1600mhz.

Storage Really happy with the start up times and load times. Going to be adding a couple of WD Blacks soon.

GPU I was actually pretty impressed with the 750ti, but I actually swapped it with my dad's GPU the MSI 760.

Case IMHO, the best looking case out there. I love this case and it was a breeze to build in, the hot-swap bays are pretty cool too.

PSU Semi-modular pretty nice, got it for 89.99 at Microcenter on refurb (even though I didn't know it was refurb), and it seems to be functioning nicely. Also I can still go SLI on the 760 if I ever wanted to.

OS Love windows 8.1, everything runs smooth.

Overall I had fun with this build, took about 2 hours to assemble. Everything running perfectly at the moment.

Edit 1: Added 2x2tb WD Black's in Raid 1.

Can't get a great look at the cables, but looks pretty solid. Nice case too. +1 from me

Here's a look inside. Not sure what to do with those Corsair Link cables still debating. You definitely don't want to see the back side of the case though that's for sure.

"With Windows 8 a new license agreement has been written: Windows 8 System Builder Product--Personal Use License. This is essentially the same as the Windows 7 System Builder's license agreement, but without the requirement to sell the system once built."

oh, that's awesome to know, darned Microsoft always changing oem licenses, its like a country changing something like gun registry so much that say, doing something legal one day, will be a federal offense the next do it for a friend, oops, passport taken, in the slammer

the 750ti might be bottlenecking the i7 by a wee bit so you could have opted for an i5 but once you upgrade the GPU you will be set. Btw, great build even though I'm a bit late on it. +1

I actually swapped it witha MSI 760 the day after I built it

Yeah, I see that in your description...eh...it's ok, you'll get some benefits out of the i7.

Yea I'm ulitmately looking to upgrade to the 880 when that comes out. I have been making some videos so the i7 does a good job there.

Nice. I can't wait to see it. :) I'm looking to get an 880 as well once it gets out for my new upcoming build.

Yes this is definitely in the near future. I was planning on 2x2tb Western Digital Blacks in Raid 1. What would you recommend?
