This time I wanted to build a nice Ryzen beast. I chose to go with the Ryzen 1700 because it had much better bang for buck compared to the 1700x in my opinion. However right now, the 1700x is only 5 dollars more than the 1700 and if I was to rebuild, I'd go for the 1700x.
I went with the NZXT Elite Case because I I think it's the best looking out there. It's simple, clear, sharp lines, and had everything I needed in the right places, including cut outs for my stat screen, (Tutorial here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RcNJA6V4tNY&t=2s ) - I also chose the case because it had an HDMI port at the front which was great for my VR headeset.
Since it had a tempered glass window, I couldn't let the graphics card face down. So I did some slight mods in order to get the graphics card to sit vertically. (Tutorial here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BnNl1lhFbzQ&lc=z222fxkaim2shjr0macdp434q3fcunssdt41ch0s1plw03c010c )
Of course the whole build was planned using PCPartPicker. I'm mentioning this to just lend support to the fact that this site is trust worthy. With every build I've done, I've used PCPP and I'm super happy.
Let me know what you guys think :)
