General family use, Work stuff, Bookkeeping, Gaming and Plex Server.

I recently built a PC for work and I forgot how much I used to love building PCs. I needed to update from my Core 2 Duo Dell. PCPartPicker was a great source to get reacquainted with the current hardware. I built it over three months, buying a piece at a time. Build went smoothly. Once complete a friend asked for a build, I will post that build next week.

Part Reviews

Had to go with Skylake. Smooth and fast. Stays cool. I will overclock once I switch to water cooling.

CPU Cooler

Got it for free. It works better than I thought it would. I will be upgrading to A Corsair 115 or 110 soon.

Sweet motherboard. Tons of features. Looks great. Love the BIOS. Easy to use.

Got it for the price and color. Its RAM.

Fast ! Want to upgrade to a M2 soon.

WD has always worked for me. No reason to stray. 4TB for movies, photos and music.

Video Card

980s are just too much $. Games look great. For $300 you cant go wrong with this card.

I love this case. Its been awhile since my last build and the improvements in the cases is very noticeable. Its quiet and has tons of room. Air flow is great. Looks solid.

Power Supply

Great Price. After I got it I saw all the reviews. I may have to upgrade. So far so good.

Case Fan

They work great. Impressed for fans that come with the case.

Once you get one you will never settle for a Dell keyboard again. Brown Cherry Switches feels sturdy and professional grade.

Weight and feel are second to none. Tons of features.

I've also got a K70, it's fantastic. Very nice system! I've never been a fan of windowed cases, but as long as it suits you.

Nice pc but I think that 750 watts would be overkill

Really nice build a 1060 i think is better than the 970 because technology so ever moving cant have a piece of tech for 6 months without being replaced by something bigger and better. But other than that amazing build and unless your doing heavy 1440p to 4k gaming shouldnt affect you.
