Great looking build, though if I were you I would've stayed away from the SSDNow V300, but it depends on when you bought it. Also, I'm wondering how you painted the motherboard, I've been wanting to do something like that.

Chibodee88 submitter 6 Builds 3 points 56 months ago

it was purchased a long time ago and was sitting around. and its just a thermal armor that comes with the formula board just like the tuf series from asus. its 9 screws on the back you take off and the armor just comes off, and i just spray painted it white, and the little engraved lines and letters i painted green but will be changing to purple soon to match the wifes coolant

Graestone45 1 Build 0 points 56 months ago

If it was bought a while ago, it should be good. Kingston started skimping on the newer models.

Chibodee88 submitter 6 Builds 0 points 56 months ago

yea. we update our computers about every 2 months anyways. so things will be changing in the upcoming months as new tech comes out. this is her first personal build so we just used what we had and ordered quality parts for what we were going to keep

How is the Monitor as I'm thinking of getting the same one nice build! +1

fnapoli 1 Build 0 points 56 months ago

I'm assuming the locked CPU you listed in the parts list was a mistake?

Chibodee88 submitter 6 Builds 3 points 56 months ago

no its not a mistake. left over part from another build thats being used. we have a 4670k on the way.

fnapoli 1 Build 0 points 56 months ago

oh ok, cool!

WindeezKC 1 Build 0 points 56 months ago

Did you just spray paint the armor on the board?

Chibodee88 submitter 6 Builds -1 points 56 months ago

Yea I took the armor off and spray painted the front only seeing as the back is never seen.

wallywintrow1972 0 points 56 months ago

Where is the pump in your build? It's crazy how different H440 cases can be used to watercool.

Nice build, +1 :)

Chibodee88 submitter 6 Builds 0 points 56 months ago

It's hidden away down on the bottom where the power supply cover ends.

torrin1234 1 Build 0 points 56 months ago

And you just have the one rad? I have a custom loop and put the pump where you did. But it's way different looking

Chibodee88 submitter 6 Builds 0 points 56 months ago

Yes just the one rad for right now.

+1 and what did you use for the water cooling?

Chibodee88 submitter 6 Builds 0 points 53 months ago

M3RICA_ 0 points 53 months ago

WAI NOH MOAR PICKTUURZ!?!

Very, Very good build. But in my opinion I would get i7 instead of i5 because most games will eventually use multi-threading and multi-cores. As a matter of fact battlefield 3 preforms better with multiple cores.

Chibodee88 submitter 6 Builds 1 point 56 months ago

yea someone had already brought that up, a new cpu i son the way
