Description

I built this awesome little PC for my daughter. I am going to throw the 1050ti graphics card that I have in my PC into this one when my used RX 570 I found on eBay gets here. So far so good! She is currently stuck on Minecraft. I haven't really checked out the BIOS on the motherboard yet but I will update this when I do. I got the 7600k (seriously its $20 more than the 7500 right now so its worth it. Period.) even though I don't plan to overclock it anytime soon. The H7 cooler barely fits, but it does in fact fit with NO modifications necessary whatsoever. I may throw in another stick of RAM (got this one used on eBay for a great price) eventually but I think the 8GB should suffice for now. The power supply seems to work just fine (got it for $10 after rebate from newegg! STEAL!). I also got my SSD on eBay used and saved another chunk of change. I absolutely LOVE the case! It looks great and the light strip I got for it really makes it stand out! It also has a remote to change the colors and the patterns which is seriously awesome.

Really slick and cute. Love those thermalake core cases. How can you beat that price and look. I really think cub is the way. no strain on the motherboard with the gpu. Solid rig. Cheers Mate!

Taroxi 2 points 8 months ago

Only problem with the core cases is the fact that they are terrible at keeping quiet if you replace the fans since they are really open with lots of mesh

I agree the case is amazing! So slick! :)

I always upvote Snow V1s!

Beautiful build!

Thank you! I love how it came out!

Kariyu 3 points 8 months ago

That's a great price wow I'm bad with this, what did you use for the lighting

Untraumatized submitter 2 Builds 1 point 8 months ago

I got a lighting strip made specifically for PC's that has a remote control (and controller for the remote built into the wire!). It was very cheap and works great! (The rainbow/spectrum modes are beautiful)

(The magnets also make installing it a BREEZE)

I love cube builds, especially white, cube builds just like mine!

I would get the other 8 GB of RAM asap because I heard Minecraft eats RAM for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I also would have gotten a bigger SSD since prices have been steadily going down. I'm not sure what your budget was though.

Untraumatized submitter 2 Builds 1 point 8 months ago

Honestly my budget was "as cheap as I can get it while still being functional and pretty" lol.

I am going to throw an HDD in there when she starts running low on space (so far she is only playing minecraft and roblox so I think it will be a while haha)

I do definitely want to get another stick of ram eventually but was an easy way to shave off a good $70+ for now haha

Untraumatized submitter 2 Builds 1 point 8 months ago

Thanks and me too it's such a great case and working on it is so easy!

Beautiful, functional, frugal. Plus, it's strengthening family ties - this build has it all.

Untraumatized submitter 2 Builds 1 point 8 months ago

Exactly!!! :)))) Thanks for the reply!

UrBoiAgile 2 points 3 months ago

Im just going to completly steal this whole build but upgrade it a little, this thing is DOPE

Untraumatized submitter 2 Builds 1 point 3 months ago

Thanks!

UrBoiAgile 1 point 3 months ago

Also, minecraft is cpu and ram heavy, so I would recommend another 8gigs so she could recieve 230000 fps on minecraft

Untraumatized submitter 2 Builds 1 point 2 months ago

Lmfaooooo I see what you did there

Supercecco85 1 Build 1 point 8 months ago

Hello, i made a similar build with another case and slower cpu. For some time the thermaltake case was in my wish list but in the end I switched to a cooler master 110 because it was smaller and cheaper. You had some design needs and you did well on this case. I think this build would need a mechanical 1Tb HDD. The 120gb ssd is really small and it's not done for gaming and media storage. The ssd should really host only OS and not much other

Can this run gta 5 well do you think?

Flameytail 1 Build 1 point 7 months ago

im pretty sure that is a lumi.... the glowey super cool version of the H7. i have the H7 and im havent build it yet but im 90% sure its not glowey. not that its bad that its glowey(actully i would have loved to get a lumi but their like $60 ). The case is super cool!!!

Untraumatized submitter 2 Builds 1 point 7 months ago

Actually the lights are all coming completely from the magnetic light strip I added! They just happen to reflect off the fan PERFECTLY! I added a link to the amazon item if you want to check it out (comes with a remote control too)

Flameytail 1 Build 1 point 7 months ago

Ohh cool? is their any way to sent me a image of how you put it in? because i would love to do that in my work-in-progress build!!! (https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Flameytail/saved/jV7THx)

Untraumatized submitter 2 Builds 1 point 7 months ago

Here's the link to the light strip (it's only $11 too, definitely worth it!) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071VHPJ4J/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_q4B1zbJPS5K7J

You said the Cryorig H7 barely fit, it is 145mm...Do you think a 150mm can fit?? That little 5mm extra? haha! I'm doing a build in this case and the cooler i want happens to be 150mm in height.

Untraumatized submitter 2 Builds 1 point 5 months ago

I can measure it for you but I just worked a 10 hour shift and I’m about to pass out lol, send me a message on instagram (Untraumatized) or email me at Untraumatized@yahoo.com so I don’t forget to do it when I wake up

I actually didn't have a problem with it at all (and I had plenty of space on bottom on both sides for all the extra cables that came with my PSU that I didn't need to use). I will get more pics of the inside and cable management when I put the 1050ti in it tomorrow :)

I wanted to build an Intel PC this time around (which is why I bought an RX 570 to put in my PC that has a Ryzen 7 1800x, because it currently has a 1050ti that will go nicely in this Intel build). Thanks for the suggestion but I personally like the way I built it better :)

Atomic27 1 point 8 months ago

Why does your daughter need an i5 7600k honestly just wondering
