Description

This my first build. I use it mostly for gaming and school work. Had no problems building it. I had some problems trying to overclock my cpu, so i gave up on it. I do plan to sli in the future and or get a sound card. But i'm not sure if my power supply can handle the sli and a sound card. If anyone would like to give me advice on that please comment. The one problem i have is when it freezes in the bios sometimes, other then that it works great. This is my next gen console :)

You'll be fine with SLI and a sound card with that PSU and even headroom to overclock I believe. Speaking of which, don't give up on overclocking... keep at it with research / guides. You'll get it.

Unsure of the bios freezes, would have to do research on that and your mobo.

You could have gotten an 840 Evo (same price or very close) for a little better performance.

With only 39.9 CFM at 120 mm those fans are quite low in performance / noise ratio for the price.

The RAM is populating the 2nd channel I think, may or may not possibly matter for that mobo (unfamiliar with that particular one).

Your cable management looks good, although I think it could be a little better; just pull the cables tight back into the cable management area on the backside (don't be afraid of bending the wires tight) and perhaps reroute the cable that runs across the front of the mobo above the GPU. If it's too short to reroute you can get an extension for cheap.

How did you like working with that case? What kind of temps are you getting?

Nitpicking aside, overall I think it's a nice build and part selection; +1.

thanks, the cable was to short to run it behind everything. And i need to buy a extension for my hd audio cable.

Really sick build bro. Love you went with ASRock, I got the Extreme4 and absolutely LOVE it! This is probably the rig I would have built if I would have had an extra $900 but I plan on upgrading slowly.

Solid build. Great choice of parts. I might have looked at a 7970 instead of the 760, or one of AMD's R9 cards.

Great work for a first build, nice job! How was your experience with that case? Seems like it's a good deal for that price.

I went pretty well for my first build. I think i did good for my first time with the cable management.

look around online for guides on overclocking if you're having trouble. i credit a stable and cool-running 4.4GHz overclock on my FX-8350 to a guide i found online. you should easily take that 4670K to a similar frequency, higher if you won the Haswell overclocking lottery.

like others have suggested, SLI/CrossFire and a sound card should be no problem for your system of choice.

Nice build. Try updating your Bios to see if that takes care of the freezing.

My computer when I started OC began to do that freezing too. For me it was that my cpu voltage wasen't high enough to keep up with the cpu ratio. but im not sure if thats your reason too.

Hmmm, Windows 8 is an interesting choice. I would definitely have gone for 7, but it looks like a solid build.
