I bought it used off ebay before the litecoin inflation, so yeah I got pretty lucky :)

I said when :) I'm curious because that price is pre litecoin inflation.

yup, it is definitely pre litecoin inflation.

I read about the litecoin inflation and I was pretty happy that I was able to buy it like 2-4 weeks before AMD cards skyrocketed. I find it pretty funny that my card suddenly doubled in price.

  1. How is the wifi adapter working?

  2. Where did you get the gfx card?

  1. Adapter works like it should. I don't have any problems with it, and it's not limiting my MB ps as far as I can tell.

  2. Bought it off Ebay :) its used but I've had no problems with it and can even OC it a bit.

Always microcenter. That place is just too pro.

Microcenter doesn't sell the 7970 for that low.

Why didn't you grab one of MicroCenter's CPU deals at the same time you got the great deal on the video card?

I grabbed the 4670k + MSI G45 deal, it is why I got the G45 so cheap.

My MicroCenter didn't honor the 4670k $199 price, unlucky for me, and I added tax in that price (219.99 w/o tax) which is why it is so high.

Wow, I didn't know they could do that... I've been planning my whole build around grabbing a 4670k during my next trip to the area where my closest MicroCenter is (400+ miles away in SoCal). I would be incredibly disappointed if I found out they don't actually offer the advertised prices.

Where was your MicroCenter and did they give any explanation as to why they refused to honor the advertised price?

My Microcenter was the one in Tustin, CA. so, the SoCal one :/

you should call them and check if they are honoring the price again.

They didn't give any explanation but reddit says that it seems like microcenter wasn't making much money since people just came in to buy that part alone.

That is bad news!

Thanks for the tip though. I'll be down in Ontario on a business trip, so it would kinda be pointless to drive over to Tustin if the deal isn't there. I'll definitely have to call ahead to find out.

Hello!

Regarding the NZXT Source 210 Window Case, I'd like to know how many USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 it has.

Thank you!

$1100 is NOT budget, but for the price you paid it's a good deal.

I would've made the step up to the 3770k, but your choice ;)

I set myself a budget around 1k, I didn't mean that my whole build was supposed to be budget. Sorry for the confusion

I should have waited and got the 4770k for $199, my friend was able to steal one for that price and I'm jealous : ( but its no big deal in the end.
