Description

I have built this computer for general computer use like streaming to TV , programming, work, and light gaming needs (dota2). I don't need too much storage that's why I went on an on board SSD in this build, which I love.

Cinabench print screens are before and after the CPU & RAM overclock.

Part Reviews

CPU

very easy to overclock. runs at 4.0GHZ ~ 1.3V. Aida64 stress test brings it to 74C (with FPU stress) , while idle it averages to 30C-32C (stock cooler).

Motherboard

I love the BIOS on this MOBO, very cool features, easy to OC. for some reason when I choost 1.3V CPU voltage it gives a slightly bigger effective voltage of 1.312V. same for RAM voltage, it overrides my 1.35V configurtaion and gives 1.36V. other than that perfect MOBO, great features on BIOS, and on board you get USB-TYPE C input, and four 4 pins fan locations, M.2 socket, good cleareance, small issue with installing the GPU, I didnt hear the click and I'm still not sure its in all the way. after BIOS update it can support very high memoty speeds - beyond 4000.

Memory

was able to OC to 3200 at manufacturer latency speeds (16-18-18-38-2), and it seems pretty stable, I got a blue screen for the first time after a week of use, not sure if its even related to the memory.

Storage

does what it does. easy to install, OS loads in 2 seconds.

Video Card

good entry level gaming card. was able to OC with after burner to +240MHZ on core speed and +400MHZ on memory speed.

Case

nice case. very sturdy. modern with cool features. good cable management. looks cool. comes with 2 fans. I'm very happy to have got it for this price.

Why did you choose to pair a gtx 1050 with a ryzen 1500x? interesting choice

for my needs its enough. I have made a research after hearing rumors about incompatibility issues between AMD architecture and NVidia GPUs and decided those are myths. Initially my aim was to use RX560, but crypto currency mania made it too expensive. I don't overrule an upgrade in the future. for Dota2 its more than enough right now.

Nice build my friend. If I were to make the same build a little more powerful, according to your research, what could I significantly add?

depends on your goals, if its for high end gaming then I would say the GPU is where the next dollar would give the highest marginal FPS.
