Description

Built this for a friend. First build in a few years. VERY SILENT, nice airflow, decent power for $1000. Still need to OC it and will update numbers at that time.

(quick note on pic: did some further cabling clean-up after taking the pic; but the R4 case really makes it easy with all the room behind the mb...)

That is not a thermalright silver arrow.

But what is it actually?

Nice build, good cable management and decent part selection.

Does adding that extra fan add to the noise level or is it pretty silent?

You had one job. To post a vertical picture. Darn it, rotate it, then save it, then post it ! That way I don't have to turn my head :). I know you'll do it for me. You love me. Don't you ?

Thanks for great feedback. Some replies:

Heatsink is Thermalright Macho Rev A (BW) apparently requires 161mm clearance (easily fits in R4.

All 4 fans are 140, so low RPMs which results in low noise (almost silent) and still good airflow. the fan that comes with the thermalright macho is that same one i ordered extra for rear exhaust. again, very quiet. also got PSU with zero rpm, silent mode.

At the time of this pic, it was only 8gb. since then, i added 2 more sticks.... so 16gb. overkill but at $60 a pair...

Will post more pics (maybe some vertical too!) when i build exact same system for myself (this was built for a friend and i only grabbed a couple quick pics)

If you are looking for good advice on cppoling and fan noise, go to www.silentpcreview.com excellent advice on forums too (owe one guy a response as he helped a ton)

It looks like he has only 2 sticks in so I'm guessing he made a mistake on the memory
