Description

I built this computer as a surprise to replace my parents' aging laptop of almost 9 years.

Since they are the type to use something until it won't last much longer I decided that an SSD was a must so I could avoid that HDD slowdown that comes with age. Knowing them they would also have wanted something quiet along something compact and conservative looking.

The final product that came out of it is just that: quiet, fast, and very clean aesthetically and they were very happy with the little surprise.

Part Reviews

CPU Cooler

Such an amazing little stock replacement cooler. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who doesn't plan on overclocking but wants to improve their cooler, improve aesthetics, or wants a quieter system

Case

Such an amazing little case. It's a low profile, sophisticated case that demands attention.

It's definitely not the easiest case to build in as the cable management will challenge you but the feeling of accomplishment and satisfaction after putting in some hard work is well worth it.

Case Fan

VERY VERY quiet. Even at its full RPM this little fan moves plenty of air yet is still very silent. It even has rubber dampeners in the corners and includes a rubber mounting option to reduce vibrations even further. I would definitely recommend this fan to anyone who needs a silent PWM fan

Cryorig is quickly growing on me as a brand and I definitely look forward to using more of their products in the future.

Keyboard

Basic keyboard with multimedia function keys and even a calculator shortcut. If you don't need a mechanical keyboard and just need something basic I would definitely recommend this keyboard

I love the case fans when I was testing them and my parents don't even realized there is a fan in their case at all. Even though the case fans are PWM they are so quiet I just have them at max speed for the best airflow and they are still inaudible.

Sounds amazing! Definitely seals the deal for me. I could not find much information on the Web about these, so thank you for replying so quickly.

Yeah I was actually going to put in a Fractal GP-12 since I use the GP14 in my Define S but this was a few dollars cheaper and I trust Cryorig after using their C7 in my own build along with the H7

I'm absolutely loving it. It's quieter than the C7 considering the larger 120mm fan and the white/black theme matches my build perfectly. I'm idling around 29-30C and under full load I top out around 44C
