Description

Hey well I needed a new computer for high school and was going to get a laptop until my friends persuaded me to do a tech course. I obviously needed a new PC as my old Lenovo Thinkpad SL510 was not gonna handle rendering stuff everyday. Got many of the parts as Christmas presents and the rest I bought from my own money. I am planning on looking into stocks for business and finance course and maybe playing GTA 5 once it goes out on PC. I only managed to test the graphics card on Team Fortress for like 30 min on best possible settings and things stayed cool. I am planning on buying 2 more GTX 970 so I can connect 12 monitors to this PC. (Explanation Below....) The power supply will be able to handle 3 of these cards no problem. As for cable management I am pretty happy considering I am 14 and built it completely from start to finish by myself. There are a couple cables hanging in the photos I believe the SATA and USB and I fixed the SATA up right when I finished installing windows. I had 1 problem with the USB 3.0 connectors as both the kraken and the case required me to use it I currently have not figured anything out and just connected the front case outlets. I love the HUE in the case as it makes the whole pc look very PRO. Any comments are welcome.

Regarding your comments about my Powersupply I have just realized that the power supply I have is the HX750 not the ATX12V I made a mistake when selecting in the part list. My friends and I will use this computer for our youtube channel for rendering and other stuff. There are 2 reasons why I will use 12 monitors. #1 when you do video and illustration work there is never enough screens especially since this will be used as a workstation computer too. #2 Simply because I can. :) If I find the monitors are not being used enough I will sell some of them to my brother or something. I an building this system mainly around them as In the work I do many displays is a must.Just added a photo of 3 monitors working on the gtx 970 1 on hdmi and two on DVI.

You may want to invest in a desk before you spend $ on 12 (lol) monitors.

Hehe thankfully I have a desk. ;-). I was just assembling it in the living room as the floor is a carpet in my room. I will update the desc later today and explain the monitors.

Excellent! I'm looking forward to seeing the completed system. Just a quick tip, you may want to try 3 monitors before investing in 9 more. I can see that being a little pricy.

I already tried it out 3 planning to try it out on 4 once I buy a displayport to HDMI adapter.

12 monitors, are you trying to go into the matrix???

I would be hesitant going 3-way SLI with only a 750W power supply that only ranks tier two in the power supply tierlist (look it up on Google). Also, WHY ON EARTH DO YOU WANT TWELVE MONITORS??????????!!!!!!!!!!

Um, what exactly do they do in your high school class that calls for a system like this?

If you were paying that much for the motherboard you might as well have gotten an i7-5820K.

I'm sure his interest in monitors relates to rule 34 of the internet. He must see it all.

As much as I like this build (which it is an awesome one) even though your graphics will be capable of 12 monitors your cpu will struggle alot, especially when doing hard tasks.... But good build ( I recommend a tri monitor setup)

Motherboard costs more than CPU and GPU----> LOL

Thats cause I am getting 2 more GPU's :)

Damn man, well A+ build then. Wish I had enough cash for just half that. Your GPUs alone will be more than my build. Hell, just 1 is almost more lol

Seems pretty balanced IMO, what's with the tiny font in your description though? Just wondering.

WHAT THE HELL DO YOU NEED 12 MONITORS FOR?! I'm 14 and I wouldnt know what the hell to do w/ more than 2 monitors. I thought 6 monitors was fking crazy, but 12??! And besides what high school class requires a gtx 970 and 12 monitors?!

Just updated my Description. And the GTX 970 was not chosen because of my school. Its pupose is to do youtube stuff the school stuff is just and advantage point I have from the kids in my tech class. You would be amazed this rich kid in my school has a PC with 3 TITAN z gpu's. But he made it just because he could. LOL what a show of I bet he never used more than 10% of their power. HEHE

Titan Z's only go up to 2-way SLI. If this guy has three, one is sitting there doing nothing but looking pretty. Kind of reminds me of a rich guy I know who keeps blowing up $1300 i7 Extremes because he doesn't know that he needs to put a CPU cooler.

Why is this superscript...?

I am planning on buying 2 more GTX 970 so I can connect 12 monitors to this PC. (Do not ask why....

Most will ask because... what in the world do you need 12 monitors for? I don't recall being 14 years old who needed 12 monitors. I may have seen 1-6 monitors on some of these lovely PC builds but you will be asked as to why you would need 12 monitors who decided to express their age on the network and using it for high school... I'm not trying to bash or hate your build. I just frankly don't understand the purpose for a possible future of 12 monitors, is all I meant.

Overall, nice build you have here. It will serve you well.

Must be nice not having to actually work for your rig (no offense intended). So far it's a solid rig and pretty decent cable management. And yes you will want a better PSU if you want 3-way SLI as that PSU isn't rated that high.
