Description

I had a dream for some time to build my gaming system, even though I don't play a lot of games (recently) only MMO World of Tanks, even that when I have time after work and after my baby goes to sleep), occasionally, I could play Fallout and maybe other new releases.

Honestly I though the case would be a bit smaller, but now I understand that in order to fit great VGA, you just can't go smaller. I found that for a first time builder this case is very very nice, it is spacious, and could be open from all sides, I have even removed the front fan once to adjust cables.

So, my family went on vacation overseas, and I was left home alone, and decided to finally for the first time build it.

I didn't OC it, since there is no need for that. I tested playing for 3-4 hours in my apartment, I didn't turn on AC, so the room temp was pretty warm (31C), after playing for 4 h, I touched the case and it was relatively hot, but the sensors showed only 57C for CPU and 72C for GPU on the average.

I have spend more $ than I planned, so I will probably sell this one on ebay or somewhere, to get $ back...if I won't be able to do it, so I will keep it I guess. Until my wife comes backs and kicks the crap out of me for not telling her))

I will upload picks of a ready system, please knowledgeable people, comment and critique it so I would understand if I was doing stuff correctly, I had troubles with cable management, but I think I put it together as much as the case and placement of ports allowed me.

Thank you for your kind input

Part Reviews

CPU Cooler

Very quiet, even with open case, holds the temp nicely, in a HOT apartment no AC, temp was not more than 60C

Motherboard

I took 1 star off, since I got SATA SSD M.2 drive, but it was not reading it, I found out on some forums (not in the MANUAL) that this mobo supports only PCI-E M.2 cards, so I had remove the whole thing, remove the card (since it is on the back-plate of the mobo) ...I was a bit frustrated. I think this card is good for this case especially, all main ports are in front, and all cables could be managed right between the front fan and the mobo. Other than that I can't compare with anything else, since this is my first build.

Video Card

Great Card!!! Runs the latest games (I tried Dark Souls 3) on MAX setting 130 FPS, World OF Tanks 130 FPS on Ultra, and doesn't go higher than 73 C in my HOT apartment!

Case

Great great CASE, my first one, I love it, I wanted a bit smaller, but it would be impossible to fit great stuff in smaller case so this one was a good choice.

Monitor

Good monitor, mate screen is perfect no reflections, I wish I had a bigger one like 27", but maybe next time. Good speaker in it, 2 HDMI ins.

Thank you, unfortunately no it is not, at least it doesn't say in description: https://www.amazon.com/Ultra-thin-Multimedia-Wireless-Keyboard-Compatible/dp/B00OUWGR4C. I liked that one because of the Keys structure, there are no gaps between the keys, so nothing (food) or dust really could stick inside. The mouse is wired and is not part of this set, keyboard was bought before, and I would not claim it is great for gaming, you probably should look for a wired gaming keyboard, this one is for overall use. And it is ok for WOT. Also it looks stylish most of all.

Well I have only played 2 games yesterday, mostly WOT, at MAX setting 120 FPS, I could see little dragonflies, some flies on my cannon)) and grasshoppers in the grass. Second was Dark Souls 3, looked great at MAX 60-65 FPS.

Beautiful build!, that HDD behavior is concerning though, I'd suggest you backup your data just in case it dies on you randomly.

It is really small form, I had this limited corner space for the workbench, it fit in very nicely and it is Reverse-able, meaning you can swing it around, and put cabinets left or right according to your needs. It has identical tabletop direction.

Good luck , there was a time when all white desk were not available anywhere, only black, so I had to wait a month or two until they appeared again, something to think about in advance though!

Thank you!!!, isn't it the Black case though in Carbon? you have pics? or parts list here (link?) would love to check it out. I don't like LEDs, I like it discreet not to much light, cause it distracts me from things often, so I went with NO leds.

Hey, I have sold this build already and right now doing a new one with 1070, but 970 - GREAT GREAT Card, I loved it. Sometimes, I read reviews about 1070, and they test it on different games and play on ultra. I did the same Ultra settings with 970 (NOT OCed). I got 4K TV so I am going this direction right now, but $150 - NEW - Great Deal for 970 GPU) This case is GREAT my new built will be the same case, I just love it, very easy to built around it. The best part - FULL SIZE GPU ( I got GTX 1070 Founders Edition and it should fit fine - 10.50 inches) Good luck!

I know this is quite old, but your review on the hard drive is a tad unfair. You should consider removing it and replacing it with something else, and deleting your review. A refurbished hard drive shouldn't come with high expectations :)
