Description

Picked this up from a friend for $15, currently it has taken residence below my main PC and is serving up files to both my fathers PS3 and mine. For that it works okay but it stutters when re-encoding some MKV files so the PS3 will recognize them. I may throw a Core2Duo at it sometime soon. I also use it as a stereo for when I'm working. The two HDDs were the media storage drives from my main PC so I didn't miss them much as there's still two 2TB drives in it for files/projects/games. The SSD I had laying around from a old laptop that I scrapped. I did the best I could for cable management in such a small case with a non-modular PSU, if you've seen my other build that I've posted here you'd probably guess I'm pretty intense about cables.

It usually isn't unless I'm throwing a lan party, each power supply draws about 250 watts at idle so I moderate it's usage.

My mind was blown when CPU-Z said that the CPU was running off of 0.016V.

+1 for reusing old tech.

and you know ecc ram requires both a cpu that can support it and a chipset that can support it?

Yes and both the Motherboard and processor support it. I work with enterprise server equipment for a living

Heh, I knew somebody was going to mention the switch eventually lol. Usually I only turn that thing on for lan parties or when I have a stack of laptops to image and want to get it done quickly. As for the case it is pretty quiet, though I do have all the 80mm fans set as low as they go. I was actually thinking of doing a little modding and throwing a watercooling loop into it but my primary concern right now is a better processor.
