Description

EDIT: I got a 1TB hard drive not 500GB.

( New to PC gaming, I have every last and current gen console as well - thought it was long overdue that I got a DECENT PC and not a pre-made potato build from Walmart. :) Very happy to experience PC gaming. )

For starters, I'm an AMD "fangirl" - simply sticking with what I know. Very happy with this build. I knew the 8350 would do me just as well but honestly, between me and the Internet - I wanted the latest AMD FX processor just because LOL.

It's running things smoothly so far, on ultra! :D

( I'm against Windows 10 for privacy reasons, as for Windows 8 I just hate the whole setup - picky I know lol.)

The headset, I previously had one for my Xbox One and one for my PS4, which both work on PC. Didn't see the reason to get one soully for PC when both would work for it.

The case has 7 fans + the Liquid cooler came with 2 personal fans as well, I should be good to go. :3

I'm loving this case, air flow is crazy good! Red was my 2nd choice, I love blue and red - green is my least favorite color lmao. XD

Very nice PC! I must say that I would've tried to push you to go Intel for the money you spent but since you're an AMD fangirl then I can respect your decision. My two previous builds have been AMD, specifically the FX 8320 overclocked to 4.5GHz and a Phenom II X6 1090t so I definitely have a lot of experience with them. Any reason you didn't go with an SSD for your boot drive though? Regardless, you did very well for your first build and would love to talk to you about PC's or games sometime.

I didn't know about it until the last minute, about putting your OP on a SSD - I'm really new.

If my GPU wasn't 330 I would have, the GPU was my last item needed to start up my PC - I originally was going to go with the 380 which is cheaper by far but bottlenecks on Black Ops 3.

I only had 45$ left over spending wise, I wanted to buy somethings on the Steam Sale. I honestly wanted to spend 100$ on this Steam Sale, I'm butthurt I'm missing out. XD

My Boyfriend and I have a few AMD products, never failed us. My older PC was Intel, wasn't for me.

If you could suggest me games please go ahead! I like everything but sports games.

Hmm. Good prices on Steam till January 4 I think. Tomb raider, the newest castle wolfenstien, Warhammer Virmentide... Guess it depends on what you like. World of Warcraft if you don't mind the current expansions lack of end game content.

My boyfriend plays WoW, I should install it and try for a month. But it doesn't end?

Well you currently level to 100, but I just wasn't fond of the grind at 100 to get better gear.

  • 2 points

Ahh man I'm ok with grinding to an extent but I eventually get burned out, yet rpgs are my favorite lol.

I've been looking into the Old Republic, Star Wars MMO. Have you played it? Is it good?

i am quite curious tho, what temps do you get for the amd fx 9590 on idle and under full load? was curious because most builds i see with this proccessor is fully customed looped.

  • 1 point

Where would I find those temperatures at? I've been wondering about that actually, thanks for asking lol.

  • 1 point

you could download a program called speccy, made by piriform, it will display your gpu, mobo, cpu, hdd temps and its free to.

Thanks! I'm trying that now, I'll comment again with a imgur link after its done.

Full load? Uh, I was playing a video after while I took this if that's what you're asking.

Sorry for the ignorance, I'm brand new lol.

Great Build I too love AMD. I almost went with the Crosshair V I just couldn't justify the price at the time. The cables drive me mad though twist ties and zip ties are a must for me.

  • 1 point

I tried shoving the cables in the back so they wouldn't show in the front, best I could do at a short distant lol.

I had to get this board, only 3 boards are compatible with my CPU - FX 9590.

  • 1 point
Totally understandable with the board I hope AMD has a good selection of boards on their new line of cpu's when they come out.
And yes non modular power supplies make it difficult some times
  • 49 months ago
  • 1 point

What types of PSUs should I look for in the future?

  • 1 point

Well You have a Semi Modular PSU so I would say not much else you can do other want going with a Full Modular PSU. Other than that making use of you wire management tie down areas on the case is about all you could do

Great build. I've found that motherboard great for overclocking if you decide to go that route. +1

Hey I just realized I commented on this build on my old account (Deadpool) but not this one. Love seeing the AMD love. I think I might be team red for life ... Especially if the new Zen stuff kicks Intels teeth in! LOL

  • 2 points

I honestly wanted a combo. Blue, red and purple! But easier said than done lol.

I really wanted to wait for ZEN but I needed a PC riiiiight now.

  • 1 point

Trust me I feel you. My rig was built for the exact same reason; Needed something right now. I'm replacing my CPU/Ram/Motherboard when Zen drops..... GPU most likely when Polaris drops also. Did you see my rig?

  • 2 points

Nice! I was eye-ballin' that motherboard. By all reviews that I've read, that is the one to have. I see you've got the blue and red going, as well. Very cool.

  • 2 points

I so wanna get a red fan, thanks for noticing! This board is doing me justice, doesn't get too hot either.

If you want some cool Red fans, you could check out the AeroCool DS Red...they're super cool looking and have LEDS~

  • 1 point

How is that case going? I ordered a case from DIYPC (Zondda - O), and it was probably the worst case ever. So I would like to know how that case is working out for you.

  • 1 point

It's amazing, very wide and tons of fans. My 9590 never goes over 45 degrees even when gaming. My only con is it didn't come with manual! 7 free fans, had no idea where to hook it up. Figuring out the fans took the longest hardware wise.

Rather than that I love it. Just enough LED lighting, but not enough to blind you. Space for days, the hard drive setup is so much better than my potato pc case I use to have. Bought that from Walmart thinking it would get me places LOL.

  • 1 point

Lmao thanks!

I'm actually cold, when is it going to get hot? XD

  • 1 point

You have a great CPU cooler if your telling that your cold and also great airflow also for your gpu.

  • 1 point

This CPU has a mandatory liquid cooling labeled all over it.

It pains me to see how many people don't use liquid cooling on the 9590 just to only use a small 10 dollar air fan.

Now wonder why AMD has all those AMD firehouse memes lmao. "Is that the 9590? Hottest processor AMD has? Demands liquid cooling? Better challenge it and use one air fan."

Lmao.

check out my build ^

  • 1 point

You just made a solid build, why do you want to upgrade already? :o

  • 1 point

I'm wanting to use the r9 390 in my pc build but I think it would be really cool if I was able to paint the backplate of the card white. Given that there is no white r9 390... How difficult is it to remove the backplate on this card so I would be able to paint it?

  • 1 point

I have not tried removing the backplate, sorry about that.

I want to paint my PC parts like how you described but I'm worreid lol. Yours will lool sweet!

  • 1 point

great pc,but i can't go with that cpu, it will melt even with water cooler in the temp here. sick build though. but you should have gone with better case, something like mastercase 5 or corsair 450D or phanteks enthoo pro would have been better.

  • 1 point

Lmao!!

You guys overdo it, the 9590 doesn't melt at all. It's fairly cool on my end, it's all about management. I'm waiting for my PC to be a room heating, it hasn't happened.

Even when I'm in the middle of Black Ops 3 the 9590 is still in the average. I swear, you guys must get the smallest case possible, one fan and your stove must be right by your PC.

I'll agree about the case but personally I really like it, my 9590 is that low thanks to the case and liquid cooling.

Good build but you should have a better Storage unit and why is the operating system windows 7 just wondering why? But good build :)

Why wha

  • 1 point

Probably asking why the 9590 when you could have got an i5 which would offer better performance, more consistent performance and draw 1/3 the power of the 9590.

  • 1 point

Because I wanted the latest AMD CPU, I wanted to do an AMD rig personally.

  • 1 point

I've seen the 9590 get beat by an i3 in benchmarks. It really doesn't make sense.

  • 1 point

I know Intel is better, just personally not for me.

I wouldn't have been happy, but I am very happy with my AMD rig. It's almost been a full month.

I can play anything I throw at it on ultra, that's enough for me.

I thought the 9590 was just a re-skin 8350? Making it fine, just over spent money which I was aware of and even said it in the main post.

I simply wanted the latest AMD FX CPU, Zen was too far away for me lol.
