Just updated my older AMD system with a few components I took out of another PC.
I have the ASRock AM2+ motherboard running with an AM3 CPU. I had to do a BIOS update to make it run.
As you can see, it used the older style DDR2 RAM. Not worth adding 2 more sticks to it, as it now costs $69.
The SSD sure made quite a speed improvement from the old 250 GB HDD that was originally the boot drive.
Video card is nothing to write home about, but is good enough for web surfing and playing videos.
Considering how outdated the MB, CPU, and RAM are, it boots up in just 31 seconds!
The W.E.I. is: 7.3 - 7.3 - 6.7 - 6.7 - 7.7
