Description

This was my first build. I needed a place to keep all my movies and music, but also wanted a place to play them. So this build was born. Cable management was... interesting. It's a tight case and doesn't have any real room to tuck cables. I managed to keep most of them tied down to against the motherboard side panel to maintain good air flow. But most of that went out the window once the Power Supply was pushed in. The only real difficult task was the fan screws, those were way too tight. Nearly stripped them just trying to get them out. Overall, I'm happy. My next build will be a bit more adventurous, and almost definitely more powerful.

Is that 'Robin Hood - Men in Tights' credits that I see rolling in the last pic?? OH MAN that is the best movie ever!!!! Oh yeah, sweet build btw, that case is perfect for a build like this!

That was my guess as well.

Thanks! And yes, is exactly that! Fantastic movie! The idea is to have space for more expansion. I actually built this a few months ago and am getting close to needing another HDD inside.

+1. I own an i3-4160 and the integrated graphics can handle all the casual things really good. Simple and efficient.

+1, a nice neat build. In terms of saying your next build will be more adventurous - you could just stick a halfway decent graphics card in this one (750ti maybe for the low power), and maybe some more ram, and you'd easily be set for 1080p gaming!

Oh I know. It's just about my priorities. This thing is currently for couch viewing (an HTPC), and I have a Y510p laptop for my desk use. If I wanna upgrade my desk machine, I don't know at this point if I want to remove my HTPC. As my laptop becomes obsolete (probably a year or two), I'll make that decision.

Oh Robin hood, those tights are quite tight. Good build, nice reference drop.

Hey, nice build! I'm planning to build similar pc for similar purpose based on the very same motherboard. Question: does it boot without having monitor/keyboard/mouse plugged in?

Well, I needed a monitor to make sure it posts. But yeah, now that I've got the thing all set up it boots fine without the peripherals attached. Although, I don't know what you would be able to do with a computer that you can't interact with.
