Description

Hi this is my second build and personal RIG it has been through many iterations over the 2 years since i first built it it started life as an FX6300 paired with 8gb hyper x blue and a R9290. Then a few months later i decided i needed more RAM and new graphics and so i added another 8gb of RAM and a 780ti. content for about 8 months i decided it was upgrade time again and so the 780ti became a gtx 980 and on i gamed for about a year until i got my yearly bonus. This time it was splurge time i changed the mobo,CPU to an FX8350, SSD specifically for the witcher 3, 16gb of RAM, a shiny new 980ti and a 55 inch 4k TV and my current setup was born. While i probably could have gone a nuts and spent a load on a high end Intel CPU i decide i would settle for a good AMD one and a badass 980ti instead. For the most part i game at 4k ultra and for the rare few im happy at 1440p 60+fps. I get 40-45 fps on most games like the Witcher 3 and got 50+ knightmare settings on DooM. My FX8350 is OC to 4.5ghz and is cooled by an AIO cooler the seidon 120v and i get 20c idle and 50c under load my GPU sits at 30c idle and 55-60 underload @4k and 50c @1440p. The case is a NZXT phantom 410 adorned with badges from my favourite Anime series One Piece. For cooling i have 5 gamemax galeforce Blue LED fans on Rubber Anti Vibration pins. The blue lighting is provided by 2 molex powered Blue LED strips one above and below the window. Overall It is a great build but i'm glad to say will be going to my wife some time early next year as i will be upgrading to either ZEN or Skylake and a 1080ti upon release.

Thanks dude i was going to go with the FX9590 but everyone i sope to said gog with the FX8350 and overclock it. So i managed to get it to 4.5ghz with a slight increase in voltage its stable and cool it is pretty close to the FX9590 without the 220w TDP so im happy with it great CPU for the price.

Sweet i got mine to 4.9ghz but when my computer went to sleep or when it was just sitting at idle it would juts lock up and i would have to force shut it down. I turned it off and now it runs fine. i think it has something to do with my psu cause its not ratted anything. live and learn

4.9 nice i get a simular problem my shortcuts become unresponsive along with the taskbar i guess it has to do with the fact by OC you lock it at a specific speed and the clocks can't adjust to less demand on it thats my guess anyways.

The cheapest true 8 core isn't the FX series which are actually quad core's due to their designs. Also I'm definitely a Intel fanboy since I have used AMD CPU's in my past two builds and am have used 3 AMD cards, if you think I'm lying just go check my completed builds one will just be lacking a R7 260X. I must be so biased becasue I linked to the best 8 core CPU out there.

The Xeon E5 2609 is cheapest true 8 core CPU.

Your wrong, it does have 8 cores, 2 cores do share one FPU, but it still has 8 physical cores, what your suggesting is hyper threading, that is all Intel, I am a fan of both, my comment was strictly pointing out what a sniveling little perfectionist you try to be, trying to constantly prove you know more than everyone else, is probably a daily thing with you, once you hit puberty, it will not be as important anymore lol!!!

I'm talking about the module system it has and that the cores/threads within each module share resources, not exactly what I would call a true 8 core CPU.

I was pointing out that you was wrong about the FX being the best 8 core CPU out there. I'm not trying to be a perfectionist nor do I try to prove I know more than other people. I'm way past puberty. Not sure who pissed in your cereal today.
