First time build!

After years of using a laptop for gaming, I finally saved up enough to build up my own computer. I was primarily going for a white/black theme for this build. The only issue i had when building this computer was that the psu to mobo chord is too short. I wanted to thread the cable through the back of the case but it just doesnt reach. Other than that everything else was a breeze.

Tell me this is because of the new star wars money. I've heard that that mobo is unreliable, can you comment on that yet?

Not OP but I can comment on the mobo, Its reliable ive had it for about 2 months now without any issues whatsoever. Its also a really nice motherboard really clean design :P

I ended up not getting a Krait because of all the low ratings I came across. It had a higher failure rate than what I would have liked. Compared to the ASUS boards, I didn't see why I should risk a critical piece just to have a look I wanted. Spent more money, but I've been super satisfied with the ASUS.

Is there such thing as a Black LED light? Anyway great looking build, love the theme, and that GALAX HOF 970 is so hard to find.

I took a look there last night actually and the shop is currently closed, not sure when it'll be open again.

I can only hope. I bought my own cord and thought about doing it all myself... that was actually my plan, but I thought I'd be able to sleeve the EVGA cables that came with my PSU. I don't know what it is but for the life of me I can't seem to budge any of the pins. The older PSU cables I practiced on were fine and didn't have any major issues test-sleeving them, but these just won't budge for me. I wanted a full length (or custom length) and not just a few inch extension, but it seems like I have to give in and make my own from scratch (have to buy the crimpers, ends and cable etc) or find someone who can make them with my own design idea and at a length I can use.

I've heard too much negativity about extensions to make me want to go that route...

Yeah, that's what I was starting to think. I originally wanted to be 100% done with this build by my birthday, but I've been on the fence the last month about what to do about my cable situation, I haven't done anything and will be facing the music July 11th, lol.

As far as... well.. safety and performance... just in general, you haven't had any issues then?
