Is it just me, or is that PSU a liiiiiiitle bit too powerful?

It leave plenty of room for expansion without being really over the top.

Yeah... how far are you going to expand with that CPU though

Bulldozer's love overclocks. My overclocked Phenom II X4 draws roughly 160 watts instead of the stock 125

But the limiting factor is that it's a 4170

That can overclock to around 4.6 Ghz. Although I agree it was not a great choice of a CPU when he could have gotten a Phenom II or Piledriver which would have been a much smarter choice. The 4170 is still not a terrible chip. It is capable of pushing his 7870, although he would still get higher frames with a better CPU, I'm sure this one doesn't provide too low of frames.

it is not just you... And you can get great 800 Watt Cooler Master Gold Certified PSU's for $150 and btw 750 Watt is nearly overkill.

Fantastic build, love the Fractal Design cases. Wht is the Asus Xonar Essence STX like, any driver problems?

I'm currently using the unified drivers because I couldn't get the STX driver to work. Other than that, it is running great.

Are those fans SP120's or AF120's? Also do they actually perform better on the Dark Knight or does the stock fan perform better?

You obviously love sound... good build. Everything seems in place, and good choice on the PSU-plenty of room for future expansion.

So that an140 fan in the back? What kind? I'm trying to make a white build and that would work great for mine. If I may also ask what did you use to light up your build with white? Thanks mate!

why the old cpu???Also the video card should be in that top slot where the sound card is and the sound card should be down lower. what lighting kit are you using??

Probably going to upgrade cpu in the future to steamroller.

even if he could have gotten the fx 4300 or fx 6300 for cheaper

Not really, in the Gigabyte 990FX series the 1st and second PCI-E slots run at 16x bandwidth. So his video card is fine.

Isn't the fan on the CPU heatsink supposed to be on the other side?
