Description

My son had been complaining about our old XPS being outdated and lagging on EVERYTHING, so we decided a new PC would be the perfect end of summer project. After researching parts for about a month, here is what we decided on. Overall, we are very pleased.

Excellent build, great summer project, pretty clean cable management also like the tubed sleeves. With as much money as you've put into that nice 760, processor, etc, I'd upgrade that psu to the corsair HX series. They might still be on sale, if not watch for them they will be. Reason being I recently did a few builds with CX 430M, 750, and 750M's. 2 of them after a month of use started to over-heat, make a loud whining noise possibly fan issues, etc. So I then took some advice and went with a gold rated HX 750 and am very pleased with the results and have a piece of mind that my parts are protected by a gold rated PSU with clean power being fed in.

Thanks for the advice! I'll be watching PSUs.

No problem, Seasonic PSUs are also nice as they produce PSUs for Corsair (as well as Channelwell). NEVER use a Rosewell product.

Second, replacing the CX power supplies. They are great budget PSUs, but when you are spending a lot on your motherboard/CPU/GPU, it doesn't make sense to get one. A seasonic, xfx, corsair ax/hx/tx would be much better.

The build I'm gonna buy is quite familiar to this. It's a nice solid build. +1

It's great... I still can't get over the 5 second boot times.

The case was incredible. Easy to work with, cable management was a breeze and it really looks great. These pics don't do it justice.
