Description

This was my first custom loop build and my first upgrade in a few years. I watched the release of the 9900K and 2080Ti's last year and decided it was time for the upgrade but not just any upgrade, the most ridiculous overpowered gaming rig I could conjure up, here it is! The only regret I have right now is not going with the MSI Meg Godlike Z390 but that will be an upgrade in the future when needed, for now the board I have does all the OC'ing I could want.

I welcome any feedback, positive or negative (and yes, I know about the one pipe that's not at a proper 90 degrees and it kills my OCD).

Sorry I don’t speak rich lol

This is going to get featured tomorrow isn't it? =D I like how you have green and blue coolant, and how one side is illuminated by the light in the room, and the other is a blue glow.

Budshoot69 submitter 1 Build 1 point 8 days ago

Thanks! The left side is actually illuminated by the green/yellow LED strip and the board LED has been colored a similar green to match the liquid.

DuoOne 2 points 8 days ago

Ohhh, well cool build anyways!

SychicMind 1 Build 1 point 8 days ago

looks like the blue is overpowering the green though lol

Budshoot69 submitter 1 Build 1 point 8 days ago

Agreed, I believe it's just because the GPU's block the green light from going further over inside the case.

We need more pictures! Great build btw! +1

More pictures please! I love this build, color choices, and the super tower. I'm looking to do a dual loop as well in this case sometime. I'm curious on your choice of radiator selections. What made you pick a 360 & 480 instead of dual 480s or 560s this case can support. Just wondering.

Budshoot69 submitter 1 Build 1 point 8 days ago

I did the thicker 360 instead of another 480 because through reading and watching reviews, it seemed a 480 may be overkill for just the CPU loop. The only reason I didn't do 2x 60mm thick RADs is because of availability of EK's products at the time of ordering.

Hey, you saved on an extra fan as well!

HellRaizrRod 2 Builds 2 points 8 days ago

Also, any reason you didn't opt for a monoblock over cpu block for this top of the line system?

Budshoot69 submitter 1 Build 1 point 8 days ago

Not a good reason to be honest - just didn't know enough about blocks at the time I ordered it. I'll likely go that route when I upgrade the mobo to the MSI Godlike.

Gibbytronix 2 points 8 days ago

That is CRAZY!!! Amazing build I think you will get the build featured!

Budshoot69 submitter 1 Build 1 point 8 days ago

Thanks!

Everythings so GREEN man

PoopPoopie 2 points 8 days ago

Awesome build 1000/10, but why the hard drive and not go fully ssd

Budshoot69 submitter 1 Build 1 point 8 days ago

I wanted something with massive storage capabilities which wasn't crazy expensive for pictures, videos and such.

PoopPoopie 1 point 7 days ago

Wells I guess for you there is no budget.

xconnor 1 Build 2 points 8 days ago

uhh...feature?

great build, love the dual custom loops. always like builds in the tower 900!

Otterman366 10 Builds 1 point 8 days ago

That's a lot of ssd storage

Rx_Titan 1 point 8 days ago

Yes. A little overkill much?

Otterman366 10 Builds 2 points 8 days ago

Overkill is a relative term

Budshoot69 submitter 1 Build 1 point 8 days ago

Definitely not overkill - once you get over 100 games, you begin to realize that 2TB of SSD (in my current rig) isn't sufficient anymore and considering many of today's games can be up to 100GB for a single game. It's called future proofing :)

Rx_Titan 1 point 8 days ago

that is very true

DBoss862 1 point 8 days ago

How can you afford that?!

Budshoot69 submitter 1 Build 1 point 8 days ago

Lots of hard work and profits from trading crypto and stocks.

Does the i9 9900k nvlinks well with 2 gpus since it only has 16pcei lanes compare to 32 or 44?
