Description

Wanted to build a PC after owning pre-builts and laptops all my life. Wont be getting a next gen console as this will be my new main source of gaming. Got the OS for free from my girlfriends school, so that saved me a bit of money.

The FX 6300 is a great processor with any GPU. I max out most games with smooth FPS with a 7870. Highly recommend one for a budget build. It's also good for amateur video editing if your into that.

I haven't had any problems running any game I've played yet. I get 60+fps on ultra from what I've played so far. Haven't overclocked the GPU yet because its preforming really well and there really isn't a need to.

This is very nice. Part selection is great and the cable management is really clean. Those are some chilly temps as well! +1 from me.

Did you have any clearance issues with the H80i? Your build is pretty much the same as what I'm looking at getting, CPU, cooler and case wise. Puts my mind at ease knowing you get good gaming performance from the 6300. Been trying to find credible, real world evidence that says they're worth it.

I didn't have an issue getting the h80i in. It was a tight fit, but its not to bad. The worst part was the tubing is a bit longer then I'd like.

It looked like that would be an issue. Thanks for the reply!

They are worth it in budget systems where the graphics card isn't a higher end graphics card like a 7970, 680, 670, 770, or 780. They have great performance for the price and are between an i3 and i5 in gaming performance.

This is a very nice build. But it kind of straddles the line between a budget system and a higher end one. All the parts are really quality parts except for maybe the power supply. Usually the corsair cx PSUs are great for budget systems, but when you start spending more, it makes a lot more sense to get a better, higher quality power supply. A seasonic, xfx, PCPC, or higher end corsair like the TX/HX/AX would have been better in this build, I think. Otherwise it's a great build.

That's exactly what I was going for. I wanted the best performance for the lowest price. I would of liked to get a better PSU but getting the CX600M allowed me to spend more on other parts. Down the line I would like to get a better PSU, another gtx 760 for sli, and a second monitor.
