Description

Built this machine from Newegg (except for CPU Cooler and Power Supply). So far has run every game I've thrown at it. Skyrim, Battlefield 4 Beta, Sleeping Dogs, Grand Theft Auto IV, Fallout: New Vegas, and countless others.

Power Supply died on me suddenly after about 8 months. Easily replaced with Best Buy's warranty.

This build is playable for PlanetSide 2 but has major fps drops due to the Phenom I currently have in it.

Windows 8 seems slower than Windows 7-fixed

The MSI 970A-G46 advertises that it supports high-wattage cpus when, in fact, it does notfixed with bios update. Will not work with 8 cores for more than a few months... Do not get this motherboard if you plan to upgrade to an 6-8 core soon after. I previously had the AsRock Extreme3 970 and never had a single problem with it

Ah nice, I can see it is an older build, but nonetheless looks very nice. Those Phenoms do very well!

Looks great. Windows 8 should be faster than 7. do you have it in the right mode. UEFI should be the correct boot setting.(i think)

Lol Look at all them speakers. damn

Should have sprung for a 2GB 7850, solid build otherwise!

definitely, will my card in crossfire suffice? Thinking about doing that instead.

It would give you a nice boost, just don't buy a 2GB card if you're crossfiring. Honestly, if you're going to dish out the cash for another card, just sell the one you have and use the money saved for the 2nd 7850 and get a better card like a 7970 or something.

I caught a second 1gb 7850 at a great price yesterday at the store. Running CrossFireX right now. Very Notciable boost.

I'd have to agree with Daxtinator15 about the 2GB 7850.
