Really well balanced build except for one thing: You only need 8 GB of RAM. I know RAM is cheap, but that doesn't mean getting an extra 8 that won't be used at all. If you do any serious video editing with seeral layers of HD video, then the extra RAM would have been useful. You could have used the money saved for a GTX 660 Ti GPU, which performs better than the 7870. Just my opinion, but other that, stellar build.
Lol, the 660ti doesn't perform better than the 7870.
Maybe this will convince you: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VoWB1wOqlvI&feature=plcp
The better memory in the 7870 (256 bit) makes it better in all things non-gaming. The 660 ti has 192 bit.
Yes, that I will give it, and I bet that would benefit video editors.
Actually, it is about even, maybe a little worse than the 7950--therefore, definitely better than the 7870.
660ti beats 7950 in about %95 of games at 1920 x 1080 reolution.
That, I cannot believe. If you look at the HWBot scoreboards, the 7950 easily beats the 660Ti in 3DMark11, especially after the new drivers.
3d mark 11 score does not equal actual game performance. It means little to nothing actually.
omg it does
Dude stfu. Get off of pcpartpicker. You obviously have no idea what you are talking about. This isn't the 1st comment I have seen from you that is bs
are you talking to me or d4rkr4in?
This build is strikingly similar to the one I'll be building. Other than the unnecessary RAM, looks like a really balanced build.
How do you like that case? I'm trying to decide between that one and another.
I'm going to do something like this too.
Was wondering why that tag was so high, I'm making a similar build with a 670; then I remembered I already have a monitor :3. Anyway, looks really nice! How is that case? I was going to build a friend's computer in it.
ERHMAHGERD amazing build mate. Decent cable management, good enough anyway :) and a good set of parts.
