A long overdue upgrade from my old 965 rig. My goal was to build a 1440p machine for around $2000. The Meshify C was a nice case to work in - only difficulty I had was figuring out how to wire all the RGB fans! XMP profile on the RAM works perfectly, ran memtest86 overnight with no issues.

Excellent contrast with the RGB fans and the solid black of the rest of the PC. +1

Very nice build, you could consider getting a 4K monitor too as this is definitely equipped for 4K gaming

Absolutely stunning build! You have a very solid parts list, beautiful RGB implementation, and most importantly a great performer here. I'm sure this build will last you just as long as that old Phenom II rig did, if not longer.

Must be a complete system shock to upgrade from Phenom II to Ryzen+. I often lament upgrading my old Phenom II 970BE when the FX8350 came out, I probably would have been better just keeping it right up until my Ryzen upgrade.

+1 for this beautiful build.

thanks for the kind words :)

and I agree, those old Phenom IIs were beasts. Lasted me through many generations of games with pretty solid performance!

With three exhaust fans, you could be running negative pressure if you're not careful with the fan curves. Try to tweak the right top exhaust (near the AIO) to spin slower than the rest of the fans, otherwise not enough airflow is going to the VRMs.

How is the stock wraith prism fan?

Where are all your fans connected? looking at doing something similar but dont want to buy a commander pro! thanks

There's enough fan slots on the mobo that they are connected all over the place. The back of the case wiring is pretty messy though!

Can you see the cords from the front?! Thanks!

Great build man, 1080 ti, 2700x, and under 2k. Impressive

Love the way this look dude. I would only add some cheap $20-30 cable extensions for GPU and ATX power. That would really complete it. I am in a pickle myself. I have this same case. Looking to go either AORUS gaming 7 wifi OR asus crosshair vii wifi. The main thing for me is matching the graphics card & board for the appearance. I don't really game, so my goal here is around 1060-1070 GTX Asus Strix and 2600x cpu. OR the equivalent Gigabyte Aorus 1060. The only reason I haven't pulled the trigger on the Aorus is the orange accents on the board; afterall, it's 50 bucks cheaper than the crosshair. Which direction would you go? If I don't get RGB case fans like you, I don't think the orange on mobo would bother me.

Does the wraith prism encroach on the dim slots?
