Revised update to the mITX system.
For more serious gaming, video and photo editing.
It looks amazing. The dark grey case with dark blue lighting. Cooooool
How are your temps? Everytime I see this case I love the builds but then they say they have really bad temp issues.
Temps are not great but workable (well within the safe limits), a drivable compromise considering the case design preference.
For those who absolutely must trigger best airflow possibilities whilst preserving the aesthetics - updated version with a mesh airflow panel expected soon: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VLYFEq4fhT0 For existing evolv shift owners, Phanteks will be selling mesh panel parts separately too. I'm actually considering one for the home theatre with some light gaming on our 4K tele for the kids.
Currently the CPU is delidded, and the 120mm AIO is running in push/pull config with the Noctua industrials. You're right in saying that this case generally has bad temps, however I would say if it's going to be stock it's perfectly fine. So on to temps...
I couldnt leave it at stock so it's running at a mild 4.7Ghz on all cores, AIDA64 had a peak spike right at the start at 82C, but leaving it to ensure that the system is heat soaked, it settled down to 75C. Under a gaming load it sits at 65C.
GPU-wise is somewhat terrible for now, as the blower style card I have facing outward so the fan is close to the tempered glass. This easily reaches 82C. I'll have to find some time to flip it around so it's not so suffocated.
I personally think that's not too bad considering this is a 120rad doing this, albeit a relatively thin one too. Also to note, delidding the CPU gave me a 10C drop when done.
More pics. Pleeeease.
Sure thing! I'll do my best to show what's in it :)
I just bought a large ATX case and now you go and make me want to go ITX! lol great job!
