Description

French Canadian here, bad english, be kind with me! :)

For my second build, I wanted to try hardline watercooling (Pyrex was my choice of rigid tubing, so shiny with all the LEDs). I saw some very neat computers on some Youtube channels and I wanted one too! I used mostly already purchased parts from my first build.

I know, I don't have the greatest parts (GPU, PSU, MoBo), but for my gaming needs, it's more than enough.

Core Parts:

CPU: Sweet 6600K, not overclocked yet.

Cooler: XSPC Raystorm Pro CPU Waterblock, white, LED, and descent cooling. Sold!

MoBo: B150M Mortar Arctic, nice white and black finish, but no overclocking. Sadly.

RAM: 16GB of Crucial Ballistix, matches the Arctic camo of the motherboard.

SSD HDD Combo: Samsung 850 EVO 250G for OS and most games, and 1 TB WD HDD for movies, pictures, work stuff. Both are hidden in the back of the case

GPU: I had a Gigabyte 970 WINDFORCE in my first build. Adding a EK waterblock and backplate, and voilà! Painted the Acetal block in white for the look. Not disappointed!

Case: Usually, the Inwin 303 White case is white on the outside, but mostly black on the inside. After a little paint job, the case was all white.

PSU: Maybe the first part that I'm going to change in this build, if I want to overclock my rig later on, the NZXT won't hold it.

The Rest:

-EK-XRES 140 D5 pump combo was a good choice for the 303 size, but it is a little noisy. Painted the pump top, the reservoir top and the bracket is hidden behind a custom 3D-printed white cover, made on Solidworks. The pump is mounted on the EK-UNI vertical pump bracket, also painted white.

-Bitspower Silver Shining fittings, to match the backplate and to add a little 'bling' to the build.

-Bit Fenix All-White LED fan at 400 RPM, 7 of them are not that noisy. Added some 3D-printed custom white grill to cover the wires.

-2x XSPC EX360 for the rads, already white.

-To drain the system, a ball valve is located near the bottom rad.

-Pyrex tubes. I started with PETG tubing as a template, just to have the right lengths for my Pyrex tubing. Once the loop was finished, I disassembled it and rebuilt it with Pyrex tubings.

It's not the most powerful system, but I love it!

atomicus 2 Builds 2 points 14 months ago

I like what you've done here! Did a build in the 303 myself and it's a great case. You've certainly done a build worthy of the name, and I recognise the extra effort you went to with the white. Excellent! :D

Surprised you found the Revo D5 noisy though, as I can barely hear it in mine. What speed are you running at? I can understand if you have at max, but mine is about 40% and is very quiet.

Why did you use Pyrex tubes over PETG?

I think I personally would have opted for the EK-Supremacy EVO White Edition CPU block just to keep things consistent, but I am REALLY nit-picking there lol! Super great job! :)

Seboo submitter 3 Builds 1 point 14 months ago

My D5 is running at 30% right now, and I can hear a little vibration... But I think it is because of my 3-D printed cover. I should test it without the cover just to be sure.

I used Pyrex for 2 reasons : Aesthetic and challenge. The Pyrex is way more good looking than PETG and it won't stain over time. And the challenge was bigger with Pyrex over PETG, from cutting to installation. I broke 2 fittings and tubes when installing, and some tubes at cutting.

The fact that it is uncommon adds a little +. ;)

harlequin018 1 Build 2 points 14 months ago

This could be the best looking build I've seen on PCPT. Just stunning. I still can't avoid being bothered slightly that this gorgeous and expensive water cooling setup is sitting on a stock i5.

loosepaw 1 point 14 months ago

Water cooling is all about the looks anyway so it really doesn't matter. I say let the man have his amazing tubes. :D

Seboo submitter 3 Builds 1 point 14 months ago

Killjoy2357 3 Builds 1 point 14 months ago

Very Nice!

Seboo submitter 3 Builds 1 point 14 months ago

Thanks you!

assortednoise 1 point 14 months ago

Awesome build! Did you cut the pyrex tubes yourself? Can you explain that process? Or provide a link?

Seboo submitter 3 Builds 3 points 14 months ago

Yes, I cut all the tubing myself. Bought the glass tubing from Avogadro's Lab (Amazon.ca) and a manual glass tubing cutter. You can watch videos of JayzTwoCents on Youtube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9kFBjm6BdhI&t=444s). Just scorch the tube (approx. 1/8''), snap it away from you, and there you go. File it with a diamond file, and it will be no problem for the fittings and O'rings. Hope it helps!

Oooooooh! It's so frosty. The pc that is. This looks amazing and so fitting for your Northerly latitude. I am really digging the white out conditions.

Seboo submitter 3 Builds 1 point 14 months ago

I tried to make it as pure as possible. ;)

Seboo submitter 3 Builds 1 point 14 months ago

Thanks mate!

mb67 5 Builds 1 point 14 months ago

This is one of the most beautiful builds I've seen in a while! Well done! :-)

Seboo submitter 3 Builds 2 points 14 months ago

Thank you sir!

Battlefield 1 point 14 months ago

Awesome work! I'm leaning towards black 303 only cuz white one has too much black. What kind of paint did you use?

Seboo submitter 3 Builds 2 points 14 months ago

Some primer-paint combo, glossy white. Rust-oleum is great for that kind of job

Lyrix 1 point 14 months ago

WTF? you cant overclock at all with that motherboard,,,

Seboo submitter 3 Builds 2 points 14 months ago

I know, I didn't know when I bought it at first. When a good deal will come on another MoBo, I'll change it for sure.

Lyrix 1 point 14 months ago

wait... you built a watercooled pc (wich is featured: congrats) and dont know wich parts can do what? anyways maybe get the tuf z170 by asus

Seboo submitter 3 Builds 2 points 14 months ago

I'll change for sure.

Lyrix 1 point 14 months ago

okay

RhettRO55 1 Build 1 point 14 months ago

Maybe stop hounding the guy? Its better than anything you've posted .... oh wait ....

Lyrix 0 points 14 months ago

funny i heared that before. i just aked a question!

RhettRO55 1 Build 1 point 14 months ago

Funny its still just as appropriate today as it was then.

Maybe if you learned some manners and werent so blatantly abrasive in your commenting on other peoples builds? Maybe try to be more positive?

LukeCage12 1 point 14 months ago

I saw this to lol. I thought I was the only one. The z170 by asus is beautiful.

Lyrix 1 point 14 months ago

yes!

BM4C 1 Build 1 point 14 months ago

I really like this PC! It doesn't just look standard. Normally you see the same parts in a different variation, but this is something completely different. Awesome job, beautiful PC!

Seboo submitter 3 Builds 1 point 14 months ago

Thank you! :D

Evil_Paroxysm 3 Builds 1 point 14 months ago

crookz_n_castlez 4 Builds 1 point 14 months ago

Great Looking build man. You did a wonderful job! I had a question though, What is Pyrex tubes? This is my first time I'm hearing about that, also, what made you choose Pyrex over PETG?

Seboo submitter 3 Builds 2 points 14 months ago

Pyrex tubing is a type of glass tubing, very strong and clear. No scratches from handling, prettier than PETG and reflect the LED in a better way.

crookz_n_castlez 4 Builds 1 point 14 months ago

Oh so it's unbend-able?

Seboo submitter 3 Builds 1 point 14 months ago

Very, very hard to bend to the right angle. The company Mayhems makes some 90° or 45° bent glass tubing. It could elmininate some fittings!

crookz_n_castlez 4 Builds 1 point 14 months ago

Nice job either way man. Should've seen how my first loop looked.. I used WAY too much fittings!

Seboo submitter 3 Builds 1 point 14 months ago

Your builds in your profile look really good tho!

pjcforpres2020 1 point 14 months ago

Absolutely gorgeous! Your attention to detail and passion shine through.

Seboo submitter 3 Builds 1 point 14 months ago

A lot of hours of planning paying off. But I absolutely loved building a rig like that.

Zavya 1 point 14 months ago

Looks amazing, just got my self an IN WIN 303 the other day, I love it so much. I wish i could do some water cooling but its not in my budget. 1+ my fellow Canadian :)

Seboo submitter 3 Builds 1 point 14 months ago

It is a gorgeous case, for a fair price. I really like it.

commodore64 3 Builds 1 point 14 months ago

Seeing as you are looking to upgrade the PSU, have you looked into the Seasonic 750W? A bit pricier but white.

Seboo submitter 3 Builds 1 point 14 months ago

I haven't looked yet, but I will check it out soon for sure.

trojanHorse 1 point 14 months ago

OMG can't stop looking at it! Nice Build! I'm so freaking jealous. (BTW, why 4x4 memory, why not 8x2?)

Seboo submitter 3 Builds 1 point 14 months ago

I didn't want 2 open slots, I wanted it to look ''full''.

trojanHorse 2 points 14 months ago

I see! Great build anyways!

LittleL0L 1 Build 1 point 14 months ago

The 6600k should be good for a while so don't rush on getting a new mobo, but if you find a good one on sale then go ahead. Amazing build btw, great color scheme!

Also for being Canadian french, nice English :)

Seboo submitter 3 Builds 1 point 14 months ago

Thank you sir!

Digby007 1 point 14 months ago

Québec?

Seboo submitter 3 Builds 2 points 14 months ago

Ouais mon gars!

Digby007 1 point 14 months ago

Nice! Vraiment beau build en passant. Je m'enligne pour un build similaire avec le InWin 303, est-ce que tu as des trucs ou quelque chose sur laquelle tu as eu des problèmes?

Seboo submitter 3 Builds 1 point 14 months ago

jvongsana 1 point 14 months ago

the case's side door is usually smoked out. was it just a sheet of tiny you pulled off?

Seboo submitter 3 Builds 1 point 14 months ago

I didn't make any changes to the side panels, the tempered glass or the metal side panel. With the LED strips, it looks like there's no window, no tint.

Andrewtf11 1 point 14 months ago

I wouldn't even know where to start when it comes to maintaining this thing on the inside lol

Seboo submitter 3 Builds 1 point 14 months ago

Planning is everything. ;) and measure everything!

fangasm 1 point 14 months ago

the last few photos was almost looking at 2 different monitors. beautiful build, and a wonderful inspiration for my pwn personal rig~

Seboo submitter 3 Builds 1 point 14 months ago

On the last pictures, the ambiant light changes, but not on the rig. Watercooling isn't that hard, you just need to be well prepared!

Aesthetically... This rig is awesome looking! However part choices were... unique. I don't understand a 6600k with a B150m Mobo. Why not i5-6500? I also don't understand the functionality of watercooling that CPU with that motherboard. Looks real nice. Why not just a loop for the GPU? I don't understand why you would pay extra for a res with an EKWB logo when you have opaque white fluid that surrounds the logo to the point of invisibilty. Why not get a cheaper res? Were aesthetics your top priority?

Seboo submitter 3 Builds 1 point 14 months ago

Kind of, yes. 6600K for future motherboard, and I had a good deal on it. The pump-res combo was an easy option for me, for my first watercooled build. I wasn't confient enough to build my own pump-res combo. The future parts I'll buy to upgrade it will make more sense, I promise.

teambronze5 2 points 14 months ago

Amazing looking build, knowing a motherboard upgrade is planned makes much more sense!

thetortuga747 1 Build 1 point 14 months ago

But do you have polar broads in atlanta?

Seboo submitter 3 Builds 1 point 14 months ago

I'm sorry?

thetortuga747 1 Build 1 point 14 months ago

Since your build is called "Polar Panda," I quoted a lyric from the song Panda by Desiigner

Seboo submitter 3 Builds 2 points 14 months ago

Oh, ok. I looked at the video on YouTube. Panda... pandapanda!

LostElement 4 Builds 1 point 14 months ago

This PC is achieving levels of sexiness that were previously thought to be un-achievable. +1 to you, mate!

Seboo submitter 3 Builds 1 point 14 months ago

Thank you sir!

fwbflash 1 point 14 months ago

Its a beautiful build no doubt, however I just cant hurdle the fact that half the build price is on tubing, cosmetics and sleevings. Really the build itself minus the treatments is quite economical at $1089. That additional $1K could have been turned into the system in a more productive manner I guess is my point, but to each his own. In the end, great build, great job and congrats on the "Featured Build".

Seboo submitter 3 Builds 2 points 14 months ago

You are totally right my friend. But this build is what I wanted. Hardline watercooling with Pyrex and all the white stuff. The upgrades that will follow make this build more productive for sure, but for now, I don't need that much productivity. I got what I wanted with that panda, a challenge and eye candy!

fwbflash 1 point 14 months ago

It is striking to look at...great job and an impressive build! I am starting my new build this weekend, not as impressive on the eye candy as yours is, but will be a gaming beast with decent enough styling.

Demox 1 point 14 months ago

B150M Motherboard with 6600K? You can't overclock an overclockable CPU and you even watercooled it bro :( You could've gotten a 6-core i7 with a NZXT X61-62 and even a GTX 1080 bro... If that's what you like then, your choice buddy! BEAUTIFUL build! I hope it runs as fast as you need it to. Keep us informed with upgrades! :)

Seboo submitter 3 Builds 1 point 14 months ago

For my gaming needs, its good enough. And I wanted the hardline watercooling for the look and the challenge, more than a 1080.

And for sure, when upgraded, I'll post!

Berfs1 1 Build 1 point 14 months ago

Wait you cannot overclock the 6600K because you got a B150 motherboard...

Seboo submitter 3 Builds 1 point 14 months ago

I know... I know. :(

Berfs1 1 Build 1 point 14 months ago

Lol however you should try using Intel XTU and undervolt that i5-6600K.

bigtechguy 1 point 14 months ago

Is there a reason for not using the i7? I’m not questioning your build, just asking.

Seboo submitter 3 Builds 2 points 14 months ago

I don't think I need the i7 for my daily use and my gaming. I just put the extra bucks I saved on the watercooling parts.

bigtechguy 1 point 14 months ago

Ok, Thank's

RavioliBoii420 1 point 14 months ago

Overall a very nice a good looking build. The only thing is that for that price you could get a better cpu and gpu. Something like https://pcpartpicker.com/list/tLYmNN is good and pretty simple. Still this is a very attractive build and good build.

Seboo submitter 3 Builds 1 point 14 months ago

Sure, for that price, you can get a better CPU and GPU. But it was a watercooling experience, not an overkill rig. And thank you for the comments!

riferaft 1 point 14 months ago

1+ i think the panda you were modeling for the build, was spraypainted white too... JK no hate its sexy af. uv liquid next flush of the loop? idk how well it will work with white

Seboo submitter 3 Builds 2 points 14 months ago

Maybe UV, or some clear dyed coolant. We'll see!

LotusGamer 1 Build 1 point 14 months ago

Holy damn, that is a lot of custom parts

Seboo submitter 3 Builds 1 point 14 months ago

All of the build is in the parts. If you buy all of them, you can assemble my computer.

haidersherazi 1 point 14 months ago

The 970 is still a capable 1080p and light 1440p card, and I absolutely love the hale8 PSU. very reliable. Though you should def upgrade that mobo...

Seboo submitter 3 Builds 1 point 14 months ago

Yeah, the 970 is still good enough for a couple years. And I know, that mobo... :/

new_kojak 1 point 14 months ago

Hey I was wondering what temps you get on your cpu and gpu with those spectre fans? And how many decibals do you get with all fans at 400 rpm, just a rough estimate, is it audible when sitting at your desk?

Seboo submitter 3 Builds 2 points 14 months ago

GPU is around 48°C under load, and the CPU is around 30-35° at stock speed. All fans at 400 rpm don't make that much of noise, it is less loud than my old CM Hyper T2 and the 3 stock fans on the G1 Gaming 970. Audible, but my red Cherry MX keyboard is louder. I don't know what else to compare :P

new_kojak 1 point 14 months ago

Thanks appreciate it, I think I might use these fans in my white water cooled build also, cheers.

BeerzGod 2 Builds 1 point 14 months ago

I usually don't like fully white builds at all, but this one... I like this one. Great job. +1

Seboo submitter 3 Builds 1 point 14 months ago

I appreciate it, thank you sir.

elvenson 5 Builds 1 point 14 months ago

that price is ridiculous for its performance.... but wow. it looks awesome.

Seboo submitter 3 Builds 1 point 14 months ago

I know, but I really enjoyed the building experience, and the rig itself.

rmpineda 1 Build 1 point 14 months ago

Nice build! May I know where you bought the Spectre Pro Fans?

Seboo submitter 3 Builds 1 point 14 months ago
rmpineda 1 Build 1 point 14 months ago

Thanks! Did you use 3 or 4 alchemy led strips? Also, how quiet are the spectre pro fans? I'm thinking of getting all pwm fans for my current rig. I'm planning to get 3x 120's and 3x 140's. If I get the non PWM fans it might get a little loud.

Seboo submitter 3 Builds 1 point 14 months ago

3 strips to make it all the way around the case. It fits just right!

The fans are really quiet at 400 RPM. Even with 7 of them.

Just beautiful, what a work of art :) For a build that so white it just pops 11 out of 10

JWheeler_4206 1 point 14 months ago

These featured builds and their perfect color schemes >:( jk, looks great +1

PolarBearsHD 1 Build 1 point 14 months ago

How do those fans do with blowing air through your rads? I'm thinking of picking a few up. :)

Seboo submitter 3 Builds 1 point 14 months ago

They are great at higher rpm, and not bad at low rpm.

-SkyNet 1 Build 1 point 14 months ago

Was the tint removed from the tampered window?

Seboo submitter 3 Builds 1 point 14 months ago

Nope!

CraftyRam 2 Builds 1 point 13 months ago

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you can't overclock on a b150 mobo, minus that I am so jeleous of this beatiful build!!!

Seboo submitter 3 Builds 1 point 13 months ago

You're right sir. And thank you!

CraftyRam 2 Builds 1 point 13 months ago

NO worries, also what kind of paint did you use? I can't read the label lol.

Seboo submitter 3 Builds 1 point 13 months ago

It is Corrostop Ultra Gloss White

CraftyRam 2 Builds 1 point 13 months ago

Thanks!

wipedeez 1 point 13 months ago

Did you paint the inside of the case white? Or did it come that way? LOve the build

Seboo submitter 3 Builds 1 point 13 months ago

Yes, I painted all of the inside. It was mostly black, and I wanted it aaaaall white.

Nater650 1 point 12 months ago

If you want a Z170 motherboard that won't kill your white color scheme, try this: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/C4s8TW/asus-motherboard-sabertoothz170s

Seboo! Awesome build! I know I'm wait late to the game on leaving a comment on this. But I just ordered a PC with this case and I really dig the white out look you have going on here.

How did you go about painting it all white. I saw some spray cans. Just basic white spray paint?

You said you were French Canadian so maybe this translation will help you read this faster if google does it job right.

"Seboo! Génial! Je sais que je suis en ****** pour laisser un commentaire sur ce sujet. Mais je viens de commander un PC avec ce cas et je creuse vraiment le look blanc que vous avez ici.

Comment avez-vous peint tout blanc? J'ai vu des bombes aérosols. Juste la peinture en aérosol blanc de base?"

Seboo submitter 3 Builds 1 point 1 day ago

Hey MrMikeG, Thanks for the reply, I appreciate it. The Google translate is very funny!

So actually, for the case paint job: Yeah, I used good quality primer+paint, white semi-gloss. I was very happy with the finish. A couple of 10$ cans should do it. If you want a really clean job, you should drill the case rivets and paint the 303 one piece at the time. This way, you will have plenty of space to work around the disassembled case.

Hope this helps! Cheers!

MrMikeG 1 point 1 day ago

Hey Seboo,

Thanks for getting back to me and lending your advice. I got overly excited when I saw this build and didn't even see you had did that newer one which is super rad! I'm just re-joining the PC building world after being gone for over 10 years. And the inner kid in me just had to go and ask and not do any research.

Thanks again for being so kind to write back to me on this. Hope to at least just give the case a whiteout for the start of my modding.

Thanks, Mike

J'ai lu trop tard que le chipset B150M ne pouvait pas overclocker. Quand je vais voir un bon deal sur un nouveau MoBo, je le change c'est certain!

The tempered glass of the 303 plus a lot of LED, it looks stunning! The pictures aren't great, the rig is waayyy better in person.
